◆マンジュキッチが大舞台で見せた再現現不可能な豪快弾

ユベントスの1点ビハインドで迎えた27分、DFレオナルド・ボヌッチが左サイドのDFアレックス・サンドロへ大きく展開。これをアレックス・サンドロがダイレクトで中央に折り返し、ボックス中央のFWゴンサロ・イグアインへ渡る。

イグアインは胸トラップから左にいたマンジュキッチへダイレクトでパスを出すと、マンジュキッチも胸でトラップし、ゴールに背を向けた状態で、倒れこみながらボレーシュート。最後は相手GKケイロル・ナバスの懸命に伸ばした手のわずか上を通り、ゴールへと吸い込まれていった。
このゴールは最初にパスを出したボヌッチのフィード以降一度も地面にボールを落とすことなく決まる衝撃的なゴールとなった。

結局、ユベントスは試合に敗れ、21年ぶりのCL制覇とはならなかったものの、マンジュキッチはCL決勝の舞台で、異なる2クラブで得点を記録した2人目の選手となった。(1人目はクリスティアーノ・ロナウド)

クロアチア代表、9月に現役引退を発表したマンジュキッチをアシスタントコーチに招へい

クロアチアサッカー連盟(HNS)は22日、かつてバイエルンやユベントスで活躍したマリオ・マンジュキッチ氏(35)のアシスタントコーチ就任を発表した。 母国のマルソニアでプロキャリアをスタートしたマンジュキッチは、NKザグレブ、ディナモ・ザグレブを経て2010年にヴォルフスブルクに加入。そして、2012年にはドイツの盟主バイエルンへステップアップを果たすと、主力ストライカーとして2012-13シーズンのブンデスリーガ、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)、DFBポカールのシーズントレブルに貢献。 その後、アトレティコ・マドリーを経て2015年にユベントスに加入すると、本職のセンターフォワードに加え、左ウイングで新境地を開き4度のセリエA優勝などに貢献。その後、アル・ドゥハイル、ミランでのプレーを経て今年9月に現役引退を発表した。 また、2007年11月17日の北マケドニア代表戦でデビューを飾ったクロアチア代表では通算89試合に出場し、ダヴォール・シューケルに次ぐ歴代2位の33ゴールを記録。ワールドカップとユーロに2度ずつ出場し、2018年のロシア・ワールドカップでは同国史上最高位となる準優勝に大きく貢献していた。 マンジュキッチは今回のアシスタントコーチ就任について、｢信頼してくれたダリッチ監督とクスティッチ会長に感謝しています。本当にすんなりと協力関係に合意できたし、とてもに楽しみだよ。私は選手としての代表チームがどれほど重要であったかを知っていますし、その情熱と私の経験を新しい世代に伝えたいと思っているよ｣と、協会への感謝と意気込みを語った。 2021.11.23 01:20 Tue

1チームに1人欲しかった“万能型サイドバック”、ジャンルカ・ザンブロッタ
