トッテナムは25日、2024-25シーズンに向けアンジェ・ポステコグルー監督率いる新コーチングスタッフを発表した。
トッテナムでは今シーズンからシニア・アシスタントコーチを務めていたクリス・デイビス氏がバーミンガム・シティの新監督就任のためシーズン終了後に退任。その後任としてアシスタントコーチを務めていたマット・ウェルズ氏が内部昇格となった。
また、ライアン・メイソン氏、ミル・ジェディナク氏は引き続きアシスタントコーチ、ロブ・バーチ氏もGKコーチとして留任となった。
一方、新たにコーチングスタッフに迎え入れられたのは、ニック・モンゴメリー氏とセルジオ・ライムンド氏の2人。
リーズ生まれでスコットランドにルーツを持つモンゴメリー氏は、現役時代にシェフィールド・ユナイテッドやミルウォールとイングランドのクラブでプレー。現役引退後は古巣であるオーストラリアのセントラル・コースト・マリナーズ、スコットランドのハイバーニアンの指揮官を歴任していた。
一方、ポルトガル人指導者のセルジオ氏はベンフィカのアカデミーでの仕事を経て、4大陸7カ国で指導。セントラル・コーストとハイバーニアンでモンゴメリー氏の副官を務めていた。
ポステコグルー監督は新体制発足に際して以下のコメントを残している。
「マットがシニアアシスタントコーチに任命されたことを嬉しく思う。彼は素晴らしい労働倫理と細部へのこだわりを持つ優秀な若手コーチだ。彼はこのチャンスに完全に値する」
「ニックとセルジオがクラブに加わるのも素晴らしいことだ。彼らはすでにここにいる優秀なコーチ陣に加わってくれる」

トッテナムは24日、2024-25シーズンのアウェイキットを発表した。
2023-24シーズンはアンジェ・ポステコグルー監督が指揮した中、プレミアリーグでは5位フィニッシュ。2024-25シーズンのヨーロッパリーグ(EL)出場権を獲得した。
すでにホームキットは発表されており、クラブカラーのホワイトをベースに、ネイビーの袖が復活。襟元もネイビーとシンプルなデザインとなっていた。
アウェイキットはライトブルー。1980年代のアウェイキットの代名詞であったパターンを復活させ、濃いブルーのストライプを入れている。また、クラブのエンブレムは胸の中央に配置された。
また、袖と首元には、黄色、白のラインが施されている。
スパーズのファンとして知られるデジタルクリエイターのダニー・アーロンズ氏は、今回のユニフォームについて言及している。
「スパーズのファンとして、ユニフォームにクラシックなインスピレーションを取り入れるのは大好きだ。子供の頃、アウェイユニフォームに青いストライプがあったのを覚えている」
「今に合わせてデザインがアップデートされているのを見るのは本当に嬉しい。私にとってこれはスパーズの象徴的なアウェイユニフォームだ。来シーズン、ピッチでこれを見るのが待ちきれない」
ファンは「カラーリングは好き」、「悪くない」、「懐かしい感じがある」という声がある一方で、「アルゼンチンなのか?」、「なぜロゴが真ん中に」、「ひどいシャツだ」、「もう2度とデザインしないで欲しい」、「これはない」、「パジャマに見えるぞ」と否定的な声が多数あり、特にエンブレムが中央に来ていることに不満を抱いているサポーターが多いようだ。

トッテナムのブラジル代表DFエメルソン・ロイヤル(25)がミランの動向を喜んだ。『フットボール・イタリア』が伝えた。
トッテナムでの3シーズン目は公式戦先発数が13試合にとどまったエメルソン。ケガ人が多発した最終ラインにおいて本職ではないセンターバックや左サイドバックもこなしたが、アンジェ・ポステコグルー監督体制では序列を落とし、今夏の移籍が現実味を帯びている。
有力な移籍先として考えられているのがミランで、すでに代理人と接触があったという報道も。ビジャレアルからの関心も浮上しているが、本人はミラン入り希望と伝えられていた。
そんななか、エメルソンはジャーナリストのアンドレ・エルナン氏のYouTubeチャンネルに出演。自らの言葉でミランに動きがあることを明かした。
「実のところ、まだ何も決まっていない。もちろん、ミランがトッテナムに連絡を取っていることは知っている。彼らは僕の情報を求めている。多くのブラジル人選手がミランでプレーしてきたから、そのような動きがあるのはとても嬉しいことだ」
「何が起こるか、待って見てみよう。ミランのユニフォームはとても重要で意味のあるものだ。このようなチームが追いかけてくれているのを知ると、とても嬉しくなる」
ミランの右サイドバックにはイタリア代表DFダビデ・カラブリア(27)とイタリア代表DFアレッサンドロ・フロレンツィ(33)がいるが、フロレンツィはパウロ・フォンセカ新監督の構想に入らない見込み。カラブリアも契約が残り1年を切るが、契約延長には至っていない。
なお、エメルソンとトッテナムの契約は残り2年。移籍金は2000万ユーロ(約34億2000万円)程度になると予想されている。

トッテナムのアンジェ・ポステコグルー監督がユーロ2024でのイングランド代表に感想を述べた。イギリス『デイリー・メール』が報じている。
グループCの2試合で勝ち点4を稼ぎ、首位に立つイングランド。突破は果たしそうな状況だが、ここまでの2試合ですっきりしない戦いぶりが続き、乏しい内容に眉をひそめるような意見が飛ぶ。
そのなかで、本来の持ち場と異なるポジションで起用するガレス・サウスゲイト監督の試みが1つのトピックに。ポステコグルー監督もそうした起用法に懐疑的な見方をしているようだ。
出演した『ITV』で「イングランドが過去の大会で大きな変更を施し、それがうまくいった例はたくさん知っている。ただ、現時点でそういう状況ではない」とし、こう意見した。
「まずは選手が本来のポジションでプレーする姿が見たい。それからだと思う。中盤を中盤のエリアに、ウインガーをウインガーのエリアに置ければ、そして、それが目指すプレーの仕方なら、少しは安定していくはずだ」
トッテナム指揮官がそう言うイングランドはここまでトレント・アレクサンダー=アーノルドのボランチ起用が続き、キーラン・トリッピアーが左サイドバックでプレー。25日には勝ち点2で3位につけるスロベニア代表との最終戦に臨む。

セルティックがニューカッスルからスロバキア代表GKマルティン・ドゥブラフカ(35)の獲得を議論中だそうだ。
中東資本参入前の“冬の時代”からニューカッスルを支えるドゥブラフカ。ニック・ポープ加入で定位置を失い、昨季前半戦はマンチェスター・ユナイテッドへレンタル放出もされたが、今季はポープ重傷の緊急事態から常時出場し、最終的に30試合でゴールマウスを守った。
ただ、正守護神ポープに競争を強いるべく、クラブが新GKの獲得を目指しているのが明白。よく名前が上がるのは、バレンシアのジョージア代表GKギオルギ・ママルダシュヴィリだ。
誰かしらのGK獲得が実現した場合、ドゥブラフカの3番手降格は想像に難くなく、そうなれば契約を25年6月まで残すなかでも退団を望む可能性が。なんといっても、ドゥブラフカはユーロ2024へ向かうスロバキア代表で今なお正守護神を担い、精神的支柱でもある。
イギリス『フットボール・インサイダー』いわく、そんなドゥブラフカの獲得を検討するのがセルティック。ジョー・ハートが今季限りで現役を退くため、GK補強が何よりの優先事項となっているアイリッシュクラブだ。
一時はリバプールの2番手GKクィービーン・ケレハーがよく取り沙汰されるも、アイルランド代表選手ということで理想的な人材である一方、獲得が現実味を欠くのは残念ながら明白。ハートを獲得した時と同じく、経験豊富なベテランのドゥブラフカが現実的かつ、見方によっては理想的なようだ。

セルティックのアカデミーが輩出したティアニー。移籍先のプレミアリーグ・アーセナルで主力に君臨も、オレクサンドル・ジンチェンコ加入で控えに回り、今季1年レアル・ソシエダへのドライローンへと旅立った。
この1年の推移をまとめると、ティアニーはスペイン生活を満喫してアーセナル復帰には態度を明確にせず。ソシエダの買い取りはなし。アーセナルは同選手の復帰後、他クラブからのオファーを聞く構え…といったところ。
いずれにせよ、今夏アーセナル帰還で放出候補として扱われるのは間違いなし。そんななか、セルティックへの復帰もあり得なくはない話として浮上し、クラブとティアニー、双方がこの案に関心を持っていることも判明している。

日本代表MF旗手怜央(セルティック)が、今回の日本代表活動を発表した。
3日、2026年北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア2次予選を戦う日本代表が活動をスタート。メディア公開されたトレーニングは、FC東京のDF長友佑都のみが別メニューで調整となった。
トレーニングは1時間半ほどして終了。ビルドアップの確認やミニゲームなどを行い、ミャンマー対策を行っていた。
トレーニング後のメディア取材に応じた旗手。アジアカップでのケガにより久々の代表招集となったが「光栄なことなので、シーズンは終わりましたけど、また頑張りたいです」とコメント。代表活動への意気込みを語った。
トレーニングではインサイドハーフやトップ下、ウイングと様々なポジションで起用されていた。
「新しいことをチャレンジするのは凄く良いと思います」とコメント。「個人としてもチームとしてもしっかりと頭の中を整理して、ピッチ上でそれを表現できればと思います」と、落ち着いてプレーしていきたいとした。
既に予選は突破しているが、9月からの最終予選に向けては大事な2試合に。「自分にとってもチームにとっても大事な2試合だと思うので、しっかりチームとして良い結果を出して、内容もこだわってやっていければと思います」と語り、しっかりと結果を求めたいとした。
熾烈なポジション争いもある状況である旗手。「自分の結果は求めていきたいですけど、それに固執してしまうとチームにとって良い影響を与える時もあれば、悪い影響を与える時もあるので、そこをしっかり自分の中でチームの状況を見ながら、狙えるシーンがあれば狙っていきたいです」とコメント。ゴールなどの数字を残したいとしながらも、チームとしてしっかりと機能させたいとした。
トレーニングでは川崎フロンターレ時代のチームメイトでもあるMF守田英正(スポルティングCP)、MF田中碧(デュッセルドルフ)と中盤を構成することが多かった。
「比較的やってきた年数が多かったというのもありますけど、それだけじゃなく自分の良さである状況を見ながらプレーするというのができれば、より長くやってきた選手なので、良さを引き出してもらって、自分も良さを引き出せると思います」と、よく知っている相手である上で、相乗効果も出せる可能性があるとした。

セルティックの日本代表FW古橋亨梧(29)の移籍の噂はイギリスで話題を呼んでいる。
セルティックのエースとして今シーズンもスコティッシュ・プレミアシップの3連覇とリーグカップの獲得に貢献した古橋。そんな中、電撃的に浮上したのがJリーグ復帰だ。
このところは日本代表からも遠ざかっている古橋だが、突如として浮上したのが浦和レッズへの移籍の噂。イギリス『デイリー・メール』も大きく取り上げた。
『デイリー・メール』は浦和について「日本で最も裕福なクラブである浦和は、選手獲得のために現在のJリーグの移籍記録を破るつもりがある」と報道。多額の移籍金を支払って古橋の獲得に動く可能性を伝えている。
セルティックではこれまで133試合で73ゴールを記録する古橋。2027年夏まで残り3年間の契約が残っており、移籍金も安くはない。
『デイリー・メール』によればJリーグの移籍最高額は1000万ポンド(約20億円)だが、古橋を獲得するとなれば遥かに上回る金額が必要だとした。
アンジェ・ポステコグルー監督の下での輝きは、ブレンダン・ロジャーズ監督の下では出せなかった古橋。ただ、セルティックに売却する意思もなく、古橋自身が移籍を望んでいるという話もない。
ただ、1000万ポンドを遥かに超える金額を提示されるのであれば、セルティックは売却する可能性もあるとしている。なお、古橋は450万ポンド(約9億円)で加入しており、大きな利益を得ることになる。

セルティックは29日、2024-25シーズンのホームユニフォームを発表した。
2023-24シーズンはスコティッシュ・プレミアシップで3連覇を達成。また、スコティッシュカップもレンジャーズとの決勝を制し、国内2冠を達成した。
日本代表FW古橋亨梧やFW前田大然、MF旗手怜央、そしてMF岩田智輝、DF小林友希が所属するクラブ。日本でも注目される中、アディダスとセルティックが新ユニフォームを発表した。
新ユニフォームはホワイトをベースに、クラブカラーのグリーンのボーダーというシンプルな作り。その中で、首周りにはクラブと選手、ファンの団結を示す「ケルトノット(ケルトの組み紐文様)」が施されている。
ファンは「上品な仕上がりだ」、「これは好きだな」、「好きじゃない。愛してる!」、「美しい仕上がり」とコメントを寄せている。
それ以上に話題なのがモデルに起用された古橋。一部では今夏の移籍が噂され、浦和レッズ移籍という話も出ている。
その古橋は新ユニフォームのモデルに採用されており、基本的には残留する可能性が高いが、ファンは「これは来シーズンも着るということだな?」、「このユニフォームでプレーするはずだ」、「彼は売り物ではない」、「彼との契約を早く発表してくれ」とコメントされている。
ブレンダン・ロジャーズ監督の下、今シーズンはこれまでのシーズンよりは苦しんだ古橋。それでもクラブ最多の公式戦19ゴールを記録するなど衰えは見せていない。
