現在はアンジェ・ポステコグルー監督が指揮し、韓国代表FWソン・フンミンらが所属。かつては戸田和幸氏も在籍したことがあるトッテナム・ホットスパーだが、クラブは「トッテナム」と呼ばれることを望んでいない。
チーム名は「トッテナム・ホットスパー」。愛称は「スパーズ」として知られているが、「トッテナム」と称されることも多い。
「トッテナム」と言えば、「トッテナム・ホットスパー」と誰もが考える状況。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』もプレミアリーグの順位表などを伝える時には「Tottenham(トッテナム)」とこれまで表記してきた。しかし、ここにきて「Spurs(スパーズ)」の表記に変更されていた。
『The Athletic』によると、2月10日、クラブからプレミアリーグの放送局に通達があったとのこと。「トッテナム・ホットスパーの名称変更」というメールが届いたという。
「トッテナム・ホットスパーはクラブ名に関して説明を行った。クラブは主にトッテナム・ホットスパーとして知られるよう要請し、短縮形としてスパーズが好まれている。クラブはトッテナムと呼ばれないよう要請する」
この通達は世界中のプレミアリーグの放送局に対して送られたとのこと。プレミアリーグの公式サイトでも、「Tottenham(トッテナム)」の表記はなく、「Tottenham Hotspur(トッテナム・ホットスパー)」か「Spurs(スパーズ)」のみになったという。
そもそも、クラブは2011年以来、「トッテナム」と呼ばれることは好ましくないというスタンス。「トッテナム」とは地域の名前であり、クラブ名ではないということが理由だ。
2024年11月にリマスターされたブランドアイデンティティを発表。「ユナイテッド、シティ、ローバーズが溢れるこの世界で、ホットスパーはただ1つ、トッテナム・ホットスパーだけです。チームやブランドについて言及する際は、『トッテナム・ホットスパー』、『トッテナム・ホットスパー・フットボール・クラブ』、または『THFC』を使用してください。決して我々のクラブを『トッテナム』、『トッテナム・ホットスパーFC』、または『TH』と呼ばないでください」とのことだ。
「スパーズ」でも確かに多くの人にとっては印象付けられる一方で、世界的に見ればNBAの「サンアントニオ・スパーズ」もあり、混同される可能性もゼロではない。むしろ「トッテナム」の方が唯一無二。いずれにしても、クラブの方針としては「トッテナム」とは呼ばれなくないようなので、ファン・サポーターの方は改めて認識すると良いかもしれない。

トッテナムは28日、Kリーグ1の江原FCからU-17韓国代表MFヤン・ミンヒョク(18)を完全移籍で獲得することで合意したことを発表した。
契約期間は2023年夏までの6年間。2025年1月からトッテナムに加入となり、労働許可証と国際移籍証明書をもっての正式契約となる。
左右のウイングを主戦場とするヤン・ミンヒョクは、韓国期待の若手アタッカー。今シーズンはKリーグ1でデビューを果たし、25試合に出場し8ゴール4アシストを記録している。
世代別の韓国代表を経験しており、U-17韓国代表としては18試合に出場し1ゴールを記録。2023年のU-17ワールドカップにも出場していた。
大先輩である韓国代表FWソン・フンミンがいるトッテナムへの加入。27日には日本でヴィッセル神戸と対戦したトッテナムは、28日に韓国入りし、アンジェ・ポステコグルー監督らもヤン・ミンヒョクと対面している。

トッテナムは24日、2024-25シーズンのアウェイキットを発表した。
2023-24シーズンはアンジェ・ポステコグルー監督が指揮した中、プレミアリーグでは5位フィニッシュ。2024-25シーズンのヨーロッパリーグ(EL)出場権を獲得した。
すでにホームキットは発表されており、クラブカラーのホワイトをベースに、ネイビーの袖が復活。襟元もネイビーとシンプルなデザインとなっていた。
アウェイキットはライトブルー。1980年代のアウェイキットの代名詞であったパターンを復活させ、濃いブルーのストライプを入れている。また、クラブのエンブレムは胸の中央に配置された。
また、袖と首元には、黄色、白のラインが施されている。
スパーズのファンとして知られるデジタルクリエイターのダニー・アーロンズ氏は、今回のユニフォームについて言及している。
「スパーズのファンとして、ユニフォームにクラシックなインスピレーションを取り入れるのは大好きだ。子供の頃、アウェイユニフォームに青いストライプがあったのを覚えている」
「今に合わせてデザインがアップデートされているのを見るのは本当に嬉しい。私にとってこれはスパーズの象徴的なアウェイユニフォームだ。来シーズン、ピッチでこれを見るのが待ちきれない」
ファンは「カラーリングは好き」、「悪くない」、「懐かしい感じがある」という声がある一方で、「アルゼンチンなのか?」、「なぜロゴが真ん中に」、「ひどいシャツだ」、「もう2度とデザインしないで欲しい」、「これはない」、「パジャマに見えるぞ」と否定的な声が多数あり、特にエンブレムが中央に来ていることに不満を抱いているサポーターが多いようだ。

トッテナムは、マンチェスター・シティとのビッグマッチに向けて2人のレギュラーセンターバック不在の戦いを強いられる見込みだ。
トッテナムは23日、エティハド・スタジアムで行われるプレミアリーグ第12節でマンチェスター・シティとの重要な一戦に臨む。
インターナショナルマッチウィーク前に行われた前節ではホームで下位のイプスウィッチ・タウンに今季初白星を献上しており、敵地での王者との対戦といえども勝ち点を持ち帰りたいところだ。
しかし、同試合に向けた公式会見に出席したアンジェ・ポステコグルー監督は、オランダ代表DFミッキー・ファン・デ・フェンに加え、アルゼンチン代表DFクリスティアン・ロメロに欠場の可能性があることを明かした。クラブ公式サイトが指揮官のコメントを伝えている。
先月末に行われたEFLカップのシティ戦でハムストリングを痛めたファン・デ・フェンに関しては、「ミッキーはまだ2週間ほどかかる。芝生の上でトレーニングしているが、2週間ほどかかる。12月中旬までには復帰してプレーできるようになることを期待している」と、復帰時期に関して言及した。
一方、アルゼンチン代表として戦ったパラグアイ代表戦のハーフタイムで負傷交代したロメロに関しては、娘のルーシーちゃんの誕生に立ち会うため同試合後にロンドンへ帰還していた。
そのアルゼンチン代表DFについては「クリスティアンと奥さんに女の子が生まれたことをとても嬉しく思う。ただ、彼はまだ100%ではなく、週末の出場は微妙だ。代表戦を戦ったその他のプレーヤーは全員順調に回復している」と、軽傷ではあるものの、シティ戦の出場が難しいことを認めている。

トッテナムは27日、アンジェ・ポステコグルー監督率いる新コーチングスタッフを発表した。
今回の発表によると、今シーズンの最後に暫定指揮官を務めたライアン・メイソン氏と、同氏を副官としてサポートしていたマット・ウェルズ氏がアシスタントコーチとしての留任が決定。
さらに、これまでスウォンジー・シティやリバプール、セルティック、レスター・シティでブレンダン・ロジャーズ氏の副官を務めていたクリス・デイビス氏がシニア・アシスタントコーチに就任。
また、ポステコグルー監督の下でオーストリア代表のキャプテンを担い、クリスタル・パレスやアストン・ビラでプレミアリーグでのプレー経験も豊富なミル・ジェディナク氏がアシスタントコーチとしてコーチングスタッフ入り。
一方、新任のGKコーチにはトッテナムのアカデミー出身で過去にU-18チームのGKコーチも務めたロブ・バーチ氏を任命。同氏はスコット・パーカー氏と共にフルアムやボーンマス、クラブ・ブルージュでもGKコーチを歴任していた。
今回発表された新コーチングスタッフは、7月1日よりポステコグルー監督と共に新シーズンに向けて始動する。
