アストン・ビラのウナイ・エメリ監督が9日に行われ、1-3で逆転負けしたチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)準々決勝1stレグのパリ・サンジェルマン戦を振り返った。

優勝候補の一角であるPSGとの初戦。アストン・ビラは自陣に引いてカウンターを狙う展開とすると、思惑通りに35分、MFモーガン・ロジャーズのゴールで先制。

しかし4分後にCKの流れからFWデジレ・ドゥエに圧巻のカットインシュートを決められると、後半開始4分に今度はFWクヴィチャ・クワラツヘリアの見事なドリブルシュートを叩き込まれて逆転された。
その後は粘り強く自陣深くで守り、PSG攻撃陣を封じていたアストン・ビラだったが、追加タイム2分に痛い3失点目をDFヌーノ・メンデスに決められた。

しかし、エメリ監督は今季のCL5試合のホーム戦で4勝を挙げていることもあり、2ndレグでの逆転に自信を見せた。
｢3失点目があっても状況は大きく変わらない。1-2にされた時点で2ndレグは勝ちたい試合だと考えていた。まだ終わっていない。選手たちを本当に誇りに思う。PSG相手に素晴らしい戦いを見せ、良い結果に近づいた。最後に失点したことは受け入れなければならない。気持ちは大きく変わらない。ホームで2点差以上を付けて勝たなければならない。本当に大きな挑戦となるが、ビラ・パークでサポーターの皆と一緒に戦えばきっと強い気持ちになれるだろう｣

一方でPSGの個の能力の高さを認めている。

｢難しかった。本当に良いチームでスター選手が揃っている。守備を厳しくかつ激しく行わなければならないのは大変だ。我々はやり遂げたが、最終的に彼らのクオリティ、そして我々のミスが影響したと思う｣

ゲンドゥージが指揮官に不満でラツィオを退団か…側近らはエメリと接触中

インテルが2025年夏の移籍プランを画策!最初のターゲットはパウ・トーレスに

「努力は常に報われる」衝撃の一撃でヘタフェの“ヒーロー”になった久保建英、残留を決めるゴールは「本当に幸せ」
