セリエAでメキメキ頭角を表す197cmの両利きセンターバック・ハイセン。16歳でマラガからユベントスへ移籍し、トップ昇格の今季は後半戦からローマへ武者修行…順調に出場機会を得ている。

そんなハイセン、U-17オランダ代表の一員として2022年にU-17欧州選手権準優勝などなど、これまでは世代別オランダ代表の常連。
しかし、今回の代表ウィークはU-21スペイン代表に招集…元アヤックスの父ドン・ハイセン氏を含めて一家揃ってオランダ出身だが、自身が5歳の時にスペイン・アンダルシア州へ移住し、今年2月にはスペイン国籍を取得しているのだ。

そして、21日に行われたU-21スロバキア代表との国際親善試合でラ・ロヒタ(世代別スペイン代表の愛称)デビュー。スペイン『マルカ』のインタビューでは「僕はスペイン人」と明言した。
「そうだね。僕は自分がスペイン人だと感じているよ。5歳からマラガで育ち、今回スペイン代表の一員になれて嬉しい。いずれスペイン代表でトロフィーを勝ち取りたいよ」

ハイセンをDFヴィルヒル・ファン・ダイクやDFステファン・デ・フライ、DFマタイス・デ・リフトらに続く新時代のディフェンスリーダーと捉えていたオランダ側から見れば、今回の所信表明は痛い。

個人四冠、スペイン女子MFボンマティのバロンドール受賞を仲間が祝福!トロフィー付きのケーキに記念パネル「これは素晴らしい」

終焉を迎えたレアル・マドリーのサイクル④～ベニテス体制プレイバック～

「激アツ」「どっちも可愛い」長谷川唯の“激レア”スペイン代表ユニフォーム姿が話題! イニエスタにも例えられるボンマティの日本代表ユニも話題「なんかエモい」
