スペイン代表のルイス・デ・ラ・フエンテ監督が、バルセロナのMFペドリに言及した。今夏ユーロ2024(欧州選手権)に挑むスペイン代表。もし優勝なら3大会ぶり4度目の栄冠となるだけでなく、優勝回数は「3」で並ぶドイツ代表を抜いて歴代最多となる。

デ・ラ・フエンテ監督は2013年〜21年まで、世代別スペイン代表の指揮官として、数多くのプレーヤーをA代表へ送り出してきたが、自身がユーロに挑むのは初。
グループステージ初戦のクロアチア代表戦(6月15日)まで、あと1カ月。スペイン『Teledeporte』に出演し、気になるメンバー選考(23〜26人)について言及...ペドリは100%の状態ではないと見ているのか、遠回しではあるが、本大会落選を匂わせた。

「まずは大会までに選手の新たなケガが発生しないことを願っている。そうなると、外すしかない」
「ペドリがペドリに出会うことが最も重要だ。彼の能力は彼のクラブだけでなく、スペインサッカー界全体にとっても大事なもの。ここからシーズン終了までに、彼が本来の彼に会えることを願っている」

東京五輪ではU-24代表指揮官としてペドリを中心に据えたデ・ラ・フエンテ監督だが、スペイン『Relevo』はペドリについて「A代表の場でデ・ラ・フエンテにアピールできていないようだ」とし、ユーロ2024行きが疑わしい選手の1人と位置付けた。

「まず開催されるかわからない」南米王者アルゼンチンの指揮官がフィナリッシマに言及、欧州王者スペインと対戦も「来年は確実に難しい」

「僕はスペイン人」18歳ハイセンが母国オランダに決別…2月にスペイン国籍取得でU-21代表デビュー

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

「これは一体何?」「誰にも似合わない」新たな色を導入したスペイン代表のアウェイユニフォームに驚きの声続出「なんでこの配色に?」
