7日、クロッキーカップ準決勝1stレグが行われ、サン=ジロワーズはクラブ・ブルージュとアウェイで対戦した。

ジュピラー・プロ・リーグでは首位を走るサン=ジロワーズと3位のクラブ・ブルージュの一戦。アジアカップ2023参加によりチームを離脱していた町田は復帰後の初戦でベンチスタート。クラブ・ブルージュはMF本間至恩がベンチスタートとなった。

試合は開始10分にクラブ・ブルージュが先制すると、後半早々にも得点。サン=ジロワーズは厳しい展開となる。

町田は58分に途中出場。本間は89分と終盤に起用された中、後半アディショナルタイム3分に町田が結果を残す。

ボックス左でFKを獲得したサン=ジロワーズはマティアス・ラスムッセンが左足でクロス。ボックス内でクラブ・ブルージュがクリアしようとするが溢れると、町田が冷静に左足で蹴り込み、GKの股間を抜くゴールで1点を返した。

ファンは「アジアカップ終わってからみんなイケイケ」、「狙い澄ましてる」、「素晴らしいゴールだな」、「活き活きしてない?」、「クラブで輝こう」、「嬉しい初ゴール」とコメントが寄せられた。

なお、試合は2-1のままクラブ・ブルージュが勝利。2ndレグで決勝行きを懸けて戦う。

足首捻挫で離脱から2カ月、スタメンでピッチに戻った三笘薫「前を向いてやり続けます」
