セルティックの日本代表FW前田大然(26)が恩師の所へと行く可能性があるようだ。

今シーズンからアンジェ・ポステコグルー監督が指揮を執るトッテナム。プレミアリーグでは好スタートを切ったものの、負傷者の続出などもあり現在は停滞中。首位を走っていた中、4位に位置している。

そのトッテナムは1月の移籍市場で壊滅状態にあるセンターバックの補強に動く予定だが、イギリス『TBR Football』によると攻撃陣も補強に動くという。
その中で注目されているのが、今夏も補強候補に上がったセルティックの選手たち。誰1人としてポステコグルー監督と共にトッテナムへと移籍はしなかったが、1月には再び注目されるという。

ポッドキャスト『Talking Transfers』に出演した移籍市場に精通しているグレアム・ベイリー氏は、夏にも噂が上がった日本代表FW古橋亨梧、MF旗手怜央の名前を出しながら、前田が最も可能性があるとした。
トッテナムは予てから獲得が噂される元セルティックで現在はサウジ・プロ・リーグのアル・イテハドに所属するFWジョタをターゲットにしている状況。ベイリー氏はその点に触れた。

「ジョタは興味深い選手だ。彼に注目した方が良い」

「彼らはセルティックの選手である旗手、古橋、前田も好んでいるが、スコットランドを襲いに行くよりも、サウジアラビアに行ってジョタを捕まえるほうが簡単かもしれない」

「数人の選手をセルティックから獲得することは、ヨーロッパの選手を獲得するよりも安くなるだろう。だから、彼がセルティックに目を向けることは排除しない」

その中で「前田のスパーズ移籍は非常に理にかなっている」とされている。

トッテナムではブラジル代表FWリシャルリソンも手術を受けて離脱中。前線で様々な役割をこなせる前田が良いターゲットだとされており、ポステコグルー監督のサッカーとスタイルには合致しているとのことだ。

今季の前田はスコティッシュ・プレミアシップで12試合2ゴール2アシスト。チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)で4試合に出場し1アシストを記録。数字は物足りないが、ハードワークでチームを支えており、トッテナムに移籍すればよりゴールに迫るプレーが増える可能性もありそうだ。

「WBからWBは狙い」勝利の流れ引き寄せた三笘薫、堂安律からの追加点は意図したもの「最後に出てくれて良かった」

「トッテナム」は禁止、「スパーズ」で…クラブが改めて通達、放送局からも「トッテナム」表記が消える

現在はアンジェ・ポステコグルー監督が指揮し、韓国代表FWソン・フンミンらが所属。かつては戸田和幸氏も在籍したことがあるトッテナム・ホットスパーだが、クラブは「トッテナム」と呼ばれることを望んでいない。 チーム名は「トッテナム・ホットスパー」。愛称は「スパーズ」として知られているが、「トッテナム」と称されることも多い。 「トッテナム」と言えば、「トッテナム・ホットスパー」と誰もが考える状況。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』もプレミアリーグの順位表などを伝える時には「Tottenham(トッテナム)」とこれまで表記してきた。しかし、ここにきて「Spurs(スパーズ)」の表記に変更されていた。 『The Athletic』によると、2月10日、クラブからプレミアリーグの放送局に通達があったとのこと。「トッテナム・ホットスパーの名称変更」というメールが届いたという。 「トッテナム・ホットスパーはクラブ名に関して説明を行った。クラブは主にトッテナム・ホットスパーとして知られるよう要請し、短縮形としてスパーズが好まれている。クラブはトッテナムと呼ばれないよう要請する」 この通達は世界中のプレミアリーグの放送局に対して送られたとのこと。プレミアリーグの公式サイトでも、「Tottenham(トッテナム)」の表記はなく、「Tottenham Hotspur(トッテナム・ホットスパー)」か「Spurs(スパーズ)」のみになったという。 そもそも、クラブは2011年以来、「トッテナム」と呼ばれることは好ましくないというスタンス。「トッテナム」とは地域の名前であり、クラブ名ではないということが理由だ。 2024年11月にリマスターされたブランドアイデンティティを発表。「ユナイテッド、シティ、ローバーズが溢れるこの世界で、ホットスパーはただ1つ、トッテナム・ホットスパーだけです。チームやブランドについて言及する際は、『トッテナム・ホットスパー』、『トッテナム・ホットスパー・フットボール・クラブ』、または『THFC』を使用してください。決して我々のクラブを『トッテナム』、『トッテナム・ホットスパーFC』、または『TH』と呼ばないでください」とのことだ。 「スパーズ」でも確かに多くの人にとっては印象付けられる一方で、世界的に見ればNBAの「サンアントニオ・スパーズ」もあり、混同される可能性もゼロではない。むしろ「トッテナム」の方が唯一無二。いずれにしても、クラブの方針としては「トッテナム」とは呼ばれなくないようなので、ファン・サポーターの方は改めて認識すると良いかもしれない。 2025.02.22 23:55 Sat

サッカーでは、GK、DF、MF、FWとそれぞれ役割の全く異なるポジションで、それぞれにスター選手がいる。今回の企画『Pick Up Player』では、現役を問わず各クラブを代表する選手たちをプレー動画付きで紹介していく。 今回はトッテナムのフランス代表GKウーゴ・ロリスだ。 <div id="cws_ad">◆フランス代表とトッテナムの守護神ロリスのセーブ集<br /><div style="margin:0 auto; max-width:100%; min-width:300px; " ><div style="position: relative; padding-bottom:56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; "><iframe src="https://embed.dugout.com/v2/?p=eyJrZXkiOiIxNEFPRElHQSIsInAiOiJ1bHRyYXNvY2NlciIsInBsIjoiIn0=" style="width: 300px; min-width: 100%; position: absolute; top:0; left: 0; height: 100%; overflow: hidden; " width="100%" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen scrolling="no"></iframe></div></div></div> ニースで生まれたロリスが、兄弟共にサッカー選手という家庭で育った。ニースの下部組織で育つと、2005年にトップチームデビューを果たす。徐々に当時の守護神ダミアン・グレゴリーニから定位置を奪うと、2007-08シーズンには、チームは8位ながらもリーグ最少失点を記録した。 そして、グレゴリー・クーペの後釜を探していたリヨンへと移籍。2シーズン連続でリーグ最優秀GKに選ばれるなど、その実力を示していく。 そして2012年夏の移籍市場最終日にトッテナムへと移籍。当時プレミアリーグ連続試合出場記録(310試合)を更新中だった元アメリカ代表GKブラッド・フリーデルからポジションを奪い、以降8年間に渡って同クラブの絶対的守護神に君臨。ここまで公式戦321試合に出場している。 トッテナムでは、2015-16シーズンからキャプテンに就任すると、若手選手が多いチームでまとめ役として引っ張り、チームのプレミアリーグ3位フィニッシュに大きく関与。2018-19シーズンはクラブ史上初のチャンピオンズリーグ決勝進出にも大きく貢献した。 また、2008年にデビューを果たしたフランス代表でも、長年守護神を務め通算114試合に出場。こちらでもキャプテンを務めている。2018年のロシア・ワールドカップでも正GKとして君臨し、世界王者の座を掴み取った。 その反射神経とセービング能力は疑いの余地がないものの、足元の技術のなさと、たまに見せるミスで本来の実力よりも過小評価されている感が否めないロリスだが、マウリシオ・ポチェッティーノ前監督体制下からは、試合の組み立てにも参加するようになり、キック精度にも成長が見られた。 キャプテンシーも健在で、6日のプレミアリーグ第33節エバートン戦では守備を怠った韓国代表FWソン・フンミンに対して厳しく要求をしていた場面もあった。 今季のトッテナムは昨季終盤からの不振を引きずるリーグ戦において、10位に低迷しているが、ここ数年プレミアリーグのトップ4の常連に成長したトッテナムにおいて今でも欠かせない存在であることに間違いはない。 2020.07.10 19:00 Fri

10年前、当時21歳のベイルがCLで覚醒…!インテル相手に記録した衝撃のハットトリック【CL名場面プレイバック】

20日、遂に新シーズンの幕が上がったチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)。今まで数多くの名場面が生まれてきたが、その中でも選りすぐりの名場面を振り返る。今回は、トッテナム時代のウェールズ代表FWガレス・ベイルが今から10年前に見せた驚愕のハットトリックだ。 育成の名門サウサンプトンで育ったベイルは2007年夏にトッテナムに加入。当初は左サイドバックとしてプレーしていたが、2010-11シーズンに一列前で起用されるようになると、その攻撃力が爆発した。 <div id="cws_ad">◆10年前、伝説となったベイルのサン・シーロでの夜<br/><div style="margin:0 auto; max-width:100%; min-width:300px; " ><div style="position: relative; padding-bottom:56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; "><iframe src="https://embed.dugout.com/v2/?p=eyJrZXkiOiJiUGM1dHM4WSIsInAiOiJ1bHRyYXNvY2NlciIsInBsIjoiIn0=" style="width: 300px; min-width: 100%; position: absolute; top:0; left: 0; height: 100%; overflow: hidden; " width="100%" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen scrolling="no"></iframe></div></div></div> ベイルがその才能を覚醒させるきっかけの1つとなった試合が、2010年10月20日にサン・シーロで行われたCLグループリーグのインテル戦だった。 試合は開始2分でインテルが先制すると、その後8分にはトッテナムのGKエウレリョ・ゴメスが一発退場。10人になったトッテナムは前半だけで4失点と数的不利を背負うという絶望的な状況に置かれた。 しかし後半、ベイルが覚醒する。52分に自陣でボールを持ったベイルがドリブルを開始。相手を寄せ付けない高速ドリブルでぐんぐん加速し、あっという間にボックス左に侵入すると、そのまま左足を振りぬいてシュートを放つ。ゴール右下の完璧なコースに鋭いシュートを突き刺して1点を返した。 その後は膠着状態が続いたものの90分、左サイドのスペースで味方からのボールを得たベイルが、またも高速ドリブルでボックス左に侵入。1点目とほぼ同じ位置からシュートを放つと、再びゴール右下のコースにシュートを突き刺して2点目を奪った。 直後の92分、中央突破に成功したMFアーロン・レノンがペナルティアーク内までボールを運ぶと、ボックス内のベイルにパスを送る。このパスを受けたベイルが再びゴール右下にシュートを突き刺し、1点差に迫る3点目を記録した。 トッテナムの反撃もここまでとなり、試合は4-3でインテルが制したが、当時世界最高のサイドバックの一人であった元ブラジル代表DFマイコンの守るインテルの右サイドを完全に圧倒してのハットトリックは世界に衝撃を与えた。 その後、天職とも言えるポジションを手にしたベイルは、トッテナムの攻撃を牽引し、ワールドクラスのアタッカーへと成長を遂げる。2013年夏にレアル・マドリーへ巨額の移籍金で加入し、数々のタイトルを勝ち取ったベイルは、今シーズンからブレイクを果たしたトッテナムに復帰した。ベイル擁するトッテナムは今季、CL出場を逃しているものの、チームを再びCLの舞台に導く活躍に期待だ。 2020.10.21 20:15 Wed

デレ・アリが壮絶な半生語る…幼少期の性的虐待被害、麻薬取引、薬物依存症…

現在、キャリアのどん底に沈むエバートンの元イングランド代表MFデレ・アリ(27)が、これまでの壮絶な人生を包み隠さずに語った。イギリス『フットボール・ロンドン』が伝えている。 プロキャリアをスタートしたMKドンズでまばゆい輝きを放ち、ステップアップを遂げたトッテナムでは、マウリシオ・ポチェッティーノ率いる近年のクラブ全盛期をけん引したデレ・アリ。 一時はレアル・マドリーを始め、国内外のメガクラブからの関心を集め、フランク・ランパードやスティーブン・ジェラードに続くイングランド屈指の攻撃的MFへの成長も期待された。 だが、2018-19シーズン辺りから細かい負傷やパフォーマンスの低下に加え、以前から懸念された素行問題が目立つようになると、2022年1月には構想外のトッテナムを離れてエバートンへ完全移籍。しかし、その新天地でもかつての輝きを取り戻せず、昨シーズンはトルコのベシクタシュにレンタル移籍。しかし、再起を期して選択した自身初の国外移籍ではシーズン途中に構想外になる屈辱を味わい、依然としてどん底の状態を抜け出せずにいる。 そういった中、27歳MFはイギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』でコメンテーターを務めるガリー・ネビル氏の『The Overlap』のロングインタビューで、幼少期の性的虐待被害、麻薬取引、薬物依存症というセンセーショナルな内容を含め、これまでの壮絶な人生を包み隠さずに語った。 まず初めにデレ・アリは自身が先日までメンタルヘルスのためのリハビリ施設に通っていたことを明かした。 「今、何が起こっているのかを人々に話すにはおそらく今が適切な時期だと思う。正直、話すのは難しいよ。それはごく最近のことでもあるし、長い間隠してきたこともあるし、話すのが怖いからだ。だけど、僕はそれが最も正しいことだと考えている」 「トルコから帰国して、手術が必要であることが分かり、精神的にもひどい状態だったんだ。だから、メンタルヘルスのためにリハビリ施設に行くことにした。施設は依存症、メンタルヘルス、トラウマを扱っている。そして今が自分のための時間だと感じたんだ」 「そこに行くように言われるのは適切ではない。自分で理解し、決断しなければうまくいかないからね。僕は自分に害を及ぼすものに依存するという悪いサイクルに陥っていた」 「毎日、目が覚めて試合にに勝って、トレーニングに臨み、笑顔で幸せを感じていた。だけど、心の中では間違いなく戦いに負けていたんだ。それを変えるときが来た。僕はそこに6週間通った、エバートンはそれについて素晴らしいサポートをしてくれた」 さらに、ここ数年に渡って自身が睡眠薬中毒に陥っていたことを明かした。 「それは長い間続いていて、自分でも気づかないうちに、飲酒であろうと何であろうと、自分の感情を麻痺させるためにやっていたことだと思う。僕は睡眠薬中毒になったけど、おそらくそれは自分だけの問題ではないと考えている」 「フットボール界ではおそらく人々が思っている以上にこの問題が蔓延していると思っているよ。もしかしたら僕がカミングアウトしてそれについて話すことが助けになるかもしれない」 「ただ、誤解しないでほしい。僕らのスケジュールでは、睡眠薬がうまく働くこともある。時々、睡眠薬を服用するのは問題ないけど、僕と同じように壊れているとき、それは逆効果になる可能性がある」 「効果が出なくなるまでは正しく機能するけど、僕は間違いなくそれらを乱用しすぎた。僕は問題の根本、つまり自分が大人になったときに抱えていたトラウマに真剣に向き合ったことがなかったんだ」 「それがどれだけひどいことなのか理解できなかった。僕は一人ですべてに対処しようとした。養子縁組している家族も、悲しくなるんだけど、僕を泣きながら部屋に連れていって、僕が何を考えているのか、どう感じているのか、話してほしいと言うんだ。だけど、僕にはそれができなかった」 「ただ、自分だけで対処したかったんだ。僕は数年間自分を見失った。自分の命を救ってくれた家族がいるのに、僕はみんなを追い払い、誰の助けも受け入れなかった。泣きながら、何が間違っていたのか教えてほしいと懇願されたけど、僕は何も言わなかった」 「家族はそれらついて何度か聞いてきたけど、僕はそれらを服用したことがないと誓った、それが問題の一部だったんだ。僕は助けを望んでいなかったし、依存症ではないと自分に言い聞かせた。だけど、実際は間違いなく依存症であり、助けが必要だったんだ」 「チームがそれらを与えるのには理由がある。つまり寝るためだ。だけど、僕はそんな使い方はしなかった。一日中それを服用していたし、休みの場合は午前11時から時々服用していた。だけど、プレー中であれば決して服用しなかった。だけど、現実から逃げるために、早めに服用していた」 また、2016年に「アリの姓とは何の関係もない」とユニフォームの登録名を変更し、母親がアルコール依存症と闘うために養子に出されたことは広く知られるところだが、その幼少期に性的虐待の被害に遭っていたことを初めて告白した。 「これについてはあまり話したことはない。簡単に理解できるような事件がいくつかあったんだ。6歳のとき、よく家に来ていた母の友人から性的虐待を受けた。当時、母はアルコール依存症だった」 「それは6歳のときの出来事だった。その後、規律を学ぶためにアフリカに送られ、その後送り返された。7歳で喫煙を始め、8歳で麻薬の取引を始め、麻薬を売り始めた。たしか年上の人から、自転車に乗った子供は止められないと言われていたから、サッカーボールを持って走り回り、ドラッグを手に入れた」 「11歳、隣の家の男によって橋から吊り下げられた。12歳、僕は養子縁組され、素晴らしい家族に養子縁組されたんだ。彼らより良い人たちの養子になることを望むことはできないよ。もし神が人を創造したとしたら、それは彼らだった」 「一緒に暮らし始めたとき、彼らに心を開くのは難しかったよ。だけど、僕は彼らにとってできる限り最高の子供になろうと努力した。だけど、多くの人に同情すべきとは思われたくないんだ」 壮絶な自身の半生を包み隠さずに語ったデレ・アリだが、ネビル氏の最初の質問となった「大丈夫か?」との問いに対しては、「そう思うよ。確かによく聞かれる質問だけど、久しぶりに本気でそう言えるよ。フットボールに対する情熱が戻ってきたんだ」と、その表情を含めて少し吹っ切れた様子を見せた。 さらに、「自分がどれだけうまくなれるかを分かっているし、自分が正しいことを証明したい」と再起に向けて前向きな姿勢を示している。 2023.07.13 20:28 Thu
