守護神ラヤの去就定らぬブレントフォード、堂安律の同僚GKフレッケンを確保か

ブレントフォードがフライブルクからオランダ代表GKマルク・フレッケン(29)の獲得で大筋合意に達しているようだ。イギリス『90min』が伝えている。

今季がプレミアリーグ昇格2年目のブレントフォード。昨季は74年ぶりのトップリーグだったにもかかわらず、開幕節でアーセナルを撃破した勢いのまま13位フィニッシュという大健闘を見せたが、2年目の今季もここまで9位につけ、クラブ史上初となる欧州カップ戦への進出にも望みを残している。

一方、躍進の立役者であり、今季ここまでのリーグ戦全35試合にフルタイム出場しているスペイン代表GKダビド・ラヤ(27)は契約が残り1年強となっており、今夏ないし来夏の退団が確実。ここ最近はチェルシーやトッテナムなどへの移籍の噂が加熱している状況だ。

その後釜とされるのが日本代表MF堂安律のチームメイトであるフレッケン。フレッケンも今季のブンデスリーガでフルタイム出場を続けるフライブルクの絶対的守護神だが、ブレントフォードは契約解除金の1300万ユーロ(約19億2000万円)を支払うことで交渉成立が目前になっているという。

それでも、ラヤを今夏中に売却するかどうかは不透明。トーマス・フランク監督は4600万ユーロ(約68億2000万円)以下では交渉に応じないと明言しており、ラヤ本人もすでに2件の契約オファーを拒否したことを公表している。

もしラヤ残留の上でフレッケンも獲得となれば、来季のブレントフォードはアルバニア代表GKトーマス・ストラコシャを含めた実力者3人が1つしかないGKのポジションを争うことになる。俄然、ラヤの去就に注目が集まりそうだ。

プレミアで立見席が復活、過去の悲劇乗り越え厳格な規制のもとに順次導入

セルティックのノルウェー代表DFアイエルが初昇格のブレントフォードへ完全移籍
