元イングランド代表MFデイビッド・ベッカム氏の次男、ロメオ・ベッカム(22)が新たなキャリアを歩むようだ。イギリス『サン』が報じた。以前は父親が共同オーナーを務めるインテル・マイアミでプレーしていたロメオ・ベッカム。2023年1月にブレントフォードのBチームへレンタル加入すると、同年6月には完全移籍に切り替えた。
今年6月にはブレントフォードが新契約を提示したようだが、サインは交わさず退団。スパイクを脱ぎ、ファッションの道に専念することを決意したという。
そんなロメオはパリのトップファッションエージェントと契約し、大手ブランドとの仕事に目を向けているとのこと。今後は元スパイス・ガールズでファッションデザイナーの母、ヴィクトリア・ベッカムさんの足跡を辿るようだ。
なお、ロメオがサッカーから退いたのはこれが初めてではなく、アーセナルユースを退団した2015年以降はテニスに挑戦。今回で2度目の引退となり、父親とは違う形での成功が期待される。

ベッカムに並ぶ“イケメン”…日韓W杯で一大ブームとなったイルハンはすっかり“イケオジ”に

ベッカム氏の次男ロメオが2度目の現役引退…今度は母ヴィクトリアさんと同じ道へ

今季ゴール量産の前田大然にリバプールやアーセナルなどプレミアの複数クラブが関心か? 移籍金は48.3億円程度
今シーズンのセルティックで多大なる活躍を見せている日本代表FW前田大然(27)にプレミアリーグのビッグクラブが関心を持っているという。イギリス『TBR』が伝えた。 2022年1月に横浜F・マリノスからセルティックに加入した前田。今シーズンは公式戦47試合で33ゴールを記録。スコティッシュ・プレミアシップでは16ゴールを記録し、得点ランキングトップに立つとともに、シーズンMVPの最終候補に残っている。 左ウイングを主戦場としていた前田は、1月に日本代表FW古橋亨梧がスタッド・レンヌへと完全移籍したことを受けて中央でのプレーが増えることに。すると一気にゴールを量産し、1つステップを登った形となっている。 前田とセルティックの契約は2027年夏までとなっており、ブレンダン・ロジャーズ監督も今夏の移籍の可能性を示唆していたが、プレミアリーグからの関心が高まっているという。 前田の獲得に関心を持っているのは、アーセナル、リバプール、チェルシー、トッテナム・ホットスパーとのこと。さらに、アストン・ビラやブレントフォード、フルアム、クリスタル・パレス、ウェストハム、リーズ・ユナイテッドなども興味を持っているという。 前田の移籍金は約2500万ポンド(約48億3000万円)と見られており、プレミアリーグのクラブであれば手が出せる金額。前田自身は「ここにいる間は、常にセルティックのために戦い、プレーしたいと思っています。チームのために集中してプレーし続けたいです」と、セルティックのためにプレーすることを口にしていたが、セルティックが最後のクラブになるかという質問には「うーん、よく分かりません。難しい質問ですね」と、残留を明言せず、高みを目指していくことは間違いないと見られている。 2025.05.02 16:45 Fri

ブレントフォード加入のエリクセン、ICDを装着しての再発進に気合い 「サッカー選手として再び見られたい」
ブレントフォードのデンマーク代表MFクリスティアン・エリクセンが、再びサッカーができる喜びを語った。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えている。 昨シーズンまでインテルに所属していたエリクセンは、昨年6月に行われたユーロ2020のフィンランド代表戦中に心臓発作を起こして卒倒。懸命な蘇生措置もあって一命を取り留め、植え込み型除細動器(ICD)を装着する手術を受けた。 イタリアのスポーツ界ではICDを装着した状態でのプロスポーツ活動が認められないことから、12月半ばにエリクセンとインテルは双方合意の下で契約を解消。1月31日に、同胞であるトーマス・フランク監督率いるブレントフォードへの加入が発表された。 クラブ公式サイトのインタビューに応じたエリクセンは、復帰に向けたプログラムについて言及。多くのテストを受けた結果、心臓に問題は発生しなかったと強調した。 「医師から与えられたテストをこなし、プログラムをこなせば、徐々にサッカーができるようになるとのことだった。トレーニングを再開するため、心臓の反応を見るためのテストもたくさんあったよ」 「幸いなことに、何も異常は出なかった。すべてが順調だったと思う。1カ月に1度、頑張ればプレーできるようになった。ICDを装着していても限界はないよ。マラソンでもダイビングでも何でもできる。診断と気持ち次第でね」 また、エリクセンは自身が再び1人のサッカー選手として見られるようになることを希望。ユーロ2020での出来事は過去として、前を向いていきたいと意気込んだ。 「(倒れてから)最初の3カ月は何もせず、ここ3、4カ月はリハビリのプログラムをしてきた。最初のうちは、プレーしたいと常に思っていたから、なかなか試合を見られなかったよ。試合を見ていても、他のことや家族のことに意識が向いてしまっていた」 「でも、ここ数カ月でそれが戻ってきたんだ。ボールに触れ、芝の匂いを嗅ぎ、スパイクを履き、スタジアムの興奮、ファン、チームに関わること。すべてが自分の中に戻ってきた」 「僕にとっての普通はイタリアでまたプレーすることだった。だから、僕のなかで普通を変える必要があったね。そしてブレントフォードでは、普通の生活に戻れるチャンスがある」 「エリクセンというサッカー選手として再び見られること、それが僕の目標だ。医師からは、またクリスティアンのようなサッカー選手になれるというゴーサインが出たよ。もちろん、あの時のことはずっと心に残っていて、誰もがあの時を思い出すだろう。でも今は新しい思い出を作り、前を向く時だ」 「心停止に陥ったとしても、ICDを装着し適切な検査を行い、問題がなければ再びプレーできると示せる。とても興奮しているし、嬉しいことだね」 2022.02.08 15:54 Tue

エリクセンが心停止からついに完全復帰! 「僕は幸せ者」
ブレントフォードのデンマーク代表MFクリスティアン・エリクセンが喜びの思いを噛み締めた。 昨夏のユーロ2020で心停止を起こしたエリクセン。心肺蘇生法で一命をとりとめ、手術で心臓に植え込み型除細動器(ICD)を装着したが、セリエAだとプレーが認めれず、インテルと契約を解消した。 それから古巣アヤックスなどで練習に励み、再起を図るなか、今年1月にブレントフォード入りが正式決定。ユーロを最後に遠ざかる公式戦でのプレーを目指して、非公式の練習試合で感覚を養った。 そして、26日にホームで行われたプレミアリーグ第27節のニューカッスル・ユナイテッド戦で加入後初のベンチ入り。52分に声がかかり、ついに約8カ月ぶりとなる公式戦のピッチに立っている。 チームこそ0-2で敗れてしまったが、約40分間のプレーでプレースキッカーを担うなど、完全復活を遂げた30歳の司令塔は試合後、イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』で喜びつつ、決意を新たにした。 「結果を抜きにするのなら、僕は幸せ者だ。経験したことを乗り越えて、復帰できたのは素晴らしい気分だよ」 「これからは感覚やタッチを取り戻したい。フットボールの感覚をね。ブレントフォードのプレミアリーグ残留にも貢献したい」 2022.02.27 10:40 Sun
