アストン・ビラは5日、プレミアリーグ第15節でレスターと対戦。2-1で勝利を収めた。

11月11日に就任したジェラード監督が率いて4試合目となったアストン・ビラ。マンチェスター・シティに前節敗れたものの、その前のブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン、クリスタル・パレスには連勝しており、この勝利で4試合で3勝目を挙げた。
チームを浮上させているジェラード監督は、リバプール時代に指導を受けたブレンダン・ロジャーズ監督率いるチームとの再戦となったが、前後半で違う試合になったと語った。

「本当に嬉しい。ミッドウィークと同じように、2つのハーフで構成された試合であり、ハーフタイムに選手たちには少しずつ要求する必要があった」
「前半は少し受け身だったと感じた。セカンドボールを十分に拾えず、ボールを回し続け、トランジションでいくつか問題があった」

「後半に向けて、いくつかの状況に対応しなければならなかった。でも、選手たちは本当に素晴らしいプレーを見せてくれた。最終的には勝利に値した」

前半は1-1で終えたが、後半早々にエズリ・コンサのゴールで逆転し、その後はしっかりと守って勝利したアストン・ビラ。ジェラード監督は特に後半のパフォーマンスを評価した。

「後半のパフォーマンスは、本当に完璧に近いものだった。このまま逃げ切ることもできたが、2-1の時点でもっと得点できるチャンスが3、4回あった」

誰もを魅了した唯一無二の“ミドルシュート”、レッズの“象徴”スティーブン・ジェラード

「寄せすぎ」「コピーだ」アストン・ビラの新エンブレムがチェルシーに酷似?実は過去のデザインを踏襲したもの

三笘薫のブライトンも! フェイエノールトの21歳FWヒメネスに欧州各国から熱視線

アストン・ビラがイタリア代表MFニコロ・ザニオーロ(24)の買い取りを見送るようだ。 昨夏ガラタサライから買い取りオプション付きのレンタル移籍でビラ入りしたザニオーロ。ローマで紆余曲折経験した若者は、ガラタサライ在籍半年でリーグ優勝に大きく貢献し、意気揚々とプレミアリーグの舞台に乗り込んだ。 しかし、昨秋の賭博スキャンダルこそ”違法性なし”としてお咎めなしだったが、肝心のピッチでの活躍に乏しく、その数字は公式戦27試合2ゴール0アシスト。年明け以降の1試合最長プレータイムは「27分間」だ。 イギリス『フットボール・インサイダー』によると、かねてより報じられていた通り、ザニオーロのレンタル契約は、特定の条件が満たされた場合に買い取りオプションが買い取り義務へ移行するものとなっているという。 ビラはこれを回避したうえで、今季終了後にガラタサライへ送り返す方向で一致した模様。復調傾向にあるMFジェイコブ・ラムジー、今冬獲得のFWモーガン・ロジャーズ、来季は2人をより積極的に起用する思惑とされている。 つい先日には、イタリア代表のルチアーノ・スパレッティ監督から、ビラでの出番減を理由にユーロ2024本大会のメンバー落選も示唆されたザニオーロ。まだ若くチカラも伸びしろもある...芯のある男にならねばならない。 2024.02.26 14:00 Mon

バレンシアがバレネチェアを獲得…今夏ユーベからアストン・ビラに完全移籍

バレンシアは30日、アストン・ビラからアルゼンチン人MFエンソ・バレネチェア(23)を1年間のレンタル移籍で獲得したことを発表した。 母国のニューウェルズ・オールドボーイズの下部組織出身のバレネチェアは、2019年に加入したスイスのシオンでヨーロッパでのキャリアをスタート。その後、2020年1月にユベントスNext Gen(U-23チーム)に加入。セリエCに所属するクラブで主力を担うと、2022年11月に行われたパリ・サンジェルマン戦でユベントスでのファーストチームデビューを飾った。 ダイナミックなセントラルMFは昨シーズンにレンタル先のフロジノーネでセリエA36試合に出場し、今シーズンはユベントスのファーストチームでの活躍も期待されたが、ブラジル代表MFドウグラス・ルイスの獲得オペレーションに際してU-21イングランド代表MFサミュエル・イリング・ジュニア(20)と共にアストン・ビラへ完全移籍していた。 そして、今シーズンはバレンシアの地で研鑽を積むことになった。 2024.08.30 23:31 Fri
