ドイツは8日に行われたカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選グループJ第6節でアイスランド代表と対戦した。今夏にフリック監督が就任してから2連勝中のチームは、この日も開始早々にFWセルジュ・ニャブリのゴールで先制すると、前半だけで2点を奪取。後半も順調に得点を重ねていくと、支配率70%を超える圧倒的な試合展開によって相手にチャンスをほぼ与えることなく、4-0で勝利を収めた。

フリック体制3連勝を達成したドイツは2位に4ポイント差をつけての首位をキープしており、W杯本大会出場に近づいている。フリック監督は試合後、理想的な結果となったことに喜びを露わに。課題もまだあるとしつつ、選手たちのパフォーマンスを称えている。
「就任してからまだトレーニングはそこまでこなせていないが、3試合で勝ち点9を獲得できたのは狙い通りの結果だったと思う。そして自分たちのサッカーができたことは、正しい方向への一歩になった」

「もちろんまだ100%の状態ではないが、今の段階でそれは期待していないよ。まだまだ改善しなければならない点がいくつかあるとはいえ、今のチームには完全に満足している」
「我々はこの試合に勝ちたいと思っていたし、それを成し遂げられた。とはいえ、ラストパスやフィニッシュの際に必要となる確信は、まだ欠けていると思う。これらは我々が取り組むべき課題となるだろう」

レジェンドDFラームに新たな栄誉! 歴代6人目のドイツ代表名誉主将に!

▽ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)は8日、2016-17シーズン限りで現役を引退したDFフィリップ・ラーム氏(34)にドイツ代表名誉主将の称号を贈ることを発表した。 ▽現役時代にバイエルンとドイツ代表で輝かしい活躍を披露してきたラーム氏は、クラブレベルではブンデスリーガで8度の優勝。DFBポカールで6度、チャンピオンズリーグで1度優勝するなど、獲得可能な多くのタイトルを獲得。さらに、今年7月には2017年のドイツ年間最優秀選手を初受賞していた。 ▽さらに、ドイツ代表では通算113試合に出場し5ゴールを記録。2014年に行われたブラジル・ワールドカップ(W杯)ではキャプテンとして、同国に通算4度目のW杯優勝をもたらした。 ▽DFBのラインハルト・グリンデル会長は、8日に開催された会合の場でラーム氏に名誉主将の称号を贈ることになった理由に関して以下のように説明している。 「彼はフットボーラーとしても、人間としても偉大な存在だ。常に明確な意見を示し、その言葉を忠実に守ってみせる。フィリップ・ラームは素晴らしいアスリートであり、チームプレーヤーであり、そして社会奉仕にも積極的に取り組む素晴らしい人物だ。したがって、今回の決定に関しては、2014年のブラジル・ワールドカップで彼が示した見事なキャプテンシーによるものだけではないことを強調したい」 ▽なお、ラーム氏はドイツ代表名誉主将の称号を与えられた歴代6人目の元選手となる。過去には1954年のスイスW杯で“ベルンの奇跡”と評された初優勝時のキャプテンである、フリッツ・ヴァルター氏、1954～1970年まで活躍した伝説的ストライカーのウーヴェ・ゼーラー氏、“皇帝”フランツ・ベッケンバウアー氏、“闘将”ローター・マテウス氏、1990年のイタリアW杯、ユーロ1996での優勝に貢献したユルゲン・クリンスマン氏の5人が同称号を与えられていた。 2017.12.09 02:21 Sat
