2013年1月に加入したリバプールでブレイクのきっかけを掴んだコウチーニョは、2018年1月にバルセロナへの移籍を果たした。
2019-20シーズンはバイエルンにレンタル移籍で加入していたコウチーニョだが、2019年9月28日に行われたブンデスリーガ第6節のパーダーボルン戦では、得意の形から見事なアシストを決めている。

アーセナル、セスクやマルティネッリ発掘の功労者を解雇…一方、ウィリアン&コウチーニョ獲得に巨額の投資…
近年のアーセナルのスカウト活動を支えてきた功労者がクラブを追われることになったようだ。 アーセナルは5日、新型コロナウイルス(COVID-19)による減収のため、55人のスタッフを解雇する方針であることを発表した。 そして、イギリス『デイリー・メール』が伝えるところによれば、その解雇者リストの中に敏腕スカウトとして知られるフランシス・カギガオ氏の名前があるという。 ロンドン生まれのカギガオ氏は、アーセナルのユースチームに在籍していた縁、3カ国語を操る語学力などを買われてアーセン・ヴェンゲル時代からスカウト部門に在籍。 20年以上に渡るクラブ在籍期間に多くの選手獲得に尽力。とりわけ、現役時代にバルセロナBに在籍していたツテを生かして、当時カンテラに在籍していた元スペイン代表MFセスク・ファブレガス(現モナコ)、スペイン代表DFエクトル・ベジェリンらの引き抜きを主導したことで知られる。 また、主にヨーロッパ、南米を担当していた同氏は、元スペイン代表MFサンティ・カソルラ(現アル・サッド)といったスペイン人選手、スイス代表MFグラニト・ジャカ、チリ代表FWアレクシス・サンチェス(現インテル)などの獲得交渉も主導。ここ最近ではU-20フランス代表DFウィリアム・サリバ、U-23ブラジル代表FWガブリエル・マルティネッリの交渉に携わっていた。 アーセナルはカギガオ氏を含むヨーロッパ全域を担当するスカウトの解雇に踏み切る以前に、MFエインズリー・メイトランド=ナイルズや、FWレイス・ネルソンらを発掘したイングランド国内を担当する非常勤アカデミースカウト10名をすでに解雇しており、今後に向けては国内外のスカウト活動で大きな後れを取る可能性がある。 長年クラブのために尽力した功労者の大量解雇に踏み切った一方、アーセナルはチェルシーのブラジル代表FWウィリアン、バルセロナのブラジル代表MFフィリペ・コウチーニョの獲得に近づいているとの報道も出ている。 この動きに関しては、元ブラジル代表DFダビド・ルイス(33)の移籍に際して、急接近した大物代理人、キア・ジョーラブシャン氏との関係強化が影響しているようだ。 ウィリアンとコウチーニョはいずれもジョーラブシャン氏の顧客であり、アーセナルは今後、独自のスカウト網の維持を諦め、ジョーラブシャン氏を筆頭に代理人主導の補強戦略へと転換を図る模様だ。 代理人主導の補強戦略に関しては、世界最高の代理人と評されるジョルジュ・メンデス氏とウォルバーハンプトンが好結果を出しているが、近年ごたごたが続くバレンシア(メンデス氏)などを見ると、非常にリスクがある補強戦略ともいえる。 なお、アーセナルのサポーターズ・トラストは今回のクラブの決定に対して、「今回の知らせにがっかりしている。我々はプレーヤーたちの自発的な給与削減がすべてのスタッフの雇用を守るために使用されることを期待していた。また解雇されたスタッフに可能な限り多くのサポートを提供することが非常に重要だと考えている。その点に関してクラブと連絡を取るつもりだ」と、説明を求めている。 2020.08.06 15:00 Thu

スケッチャーズがサッカースパイク界に進出!契約第1号はバイエルン移籍のイングランド代表FWケイン
