シェフィールド・ユナイテッドは19日、ボーンマスの元U-21イングランド代表GKアーロン・ラムズデール(22)を完全移籍で獲得したことを発表した。契約期間は4年間で、移籍金は非公開とのことだ。
ラムズデールはシェフィールド・ユナイテッドの下部組織出身。2016年7月にファーストチームに昇格すると、2017年1月にボーンマスへ完全移籍を果たす。
ボーンマス加入後はチェスターフィールドやウィンブルドンへレンタル移籍。2019-20シーズンに復帰すると、プレミアリーグで37試合に出場したものの、チームはチャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)に降格していた。
チームとしては結果を出せなかったものの、ラムズデール自身の評価は高く、チェルシーやトッテナムらも興味を示したことがあるほどだ。
一方で、シェフィールド・ユナイテッドは守護神を務めたイングランド代表GKディーン・ヘンダーソンはレンタル元のマンチェスター・ユナイテッドに復帰する可能性もあり、新たな守護神を確保しなければいけない可能性が出ていた。

ラムズデールの背中を蹴ったトッテナムファンが罪を認める…試合中にコインの投げ込みも告白

シェフィールド・U、リバプール育ちのDFロビンソンとの契約を2025年まで延長

ブレイズFWエンディアイエが古巣マルセイユに復帰、移籍金は36.6億円

27歳で急死、シェフィールド・ユナイテッドの女子選手は不審死ではないと確認

英2部首位のシェフィールド・ユナイテッドの売却が完了、サウジの王子から米コンソーシアムへ
