サッカーにおいて、1試合で3得点以上を決めることを表す「ハットトリック」。元々はクリケットで打者を三者連続アウトにすることをそう呼んでいた。(クリケットにおいて打者を連続でアウトにすることは相当難易度が高い)サッカー選手にとって、「ハットトリック」は実力を証明する功績でもあるが、そう簡単にはお目にかかれない。この企画『HAT-TRICK HEROES』では記憶に残る「ハットトリック」を紹介していく。
今回は、アトレティコ・マドリーのスペイン代表FWアルバロ・モラタがレアル・マドリー時代に決めたハットトリックだ。
レアル・マドリー下部組織出身のモラタは、2014年に7月にユベントスへ移籍すると、得点力が開花して2シーズン連続2桁ゴールを記録。2016年6月にマドリーに復帰すると、シーズン20ゴールの活躍を見せた。
この試合で、マドリーは残留圏内ぎりぎりの17位に位置していたレガネスに対し、主力を温存する。
それでも15分に先制すると、さらに18分、右CKからDFナチョがヘディングで合わせてファーに流れると、ゴールエリア左のモラタがふわりと浮かせたヘディングシュートでうまくゴールへ流し込み、追加点を奪った。
勢いの止まらないマドリーは続く23分にはMFマテオ・コバチッチのスルーパスをボックス中央で受けたモラタがダイレクトでシュートを流し込み、一気に3-0とした。
その後2点を返されたマドリーだが、迎えた後半開始3分に左サイドのMFハメス・ロドリゲスのFKにモラタが頭で合わせたシュートがDFに当たってゴールに吸い込まれ、試合を決定付けた。
結果を残したモラタだったが、2017年からはチェルシーへ移籍しプレミアリーグ初挑戦。2019年1月からはアトレティコ・マドリーでプレーし、 スペイン、イタリア、イングランドのビッグクラブを渡り歩いている。

きっかけはインスタのDM!モラタとモデル妻の馴れ初めが意外

アルバロ・モラタに第4子誕生!妻が合併症でICUに入るも無事回復「すべての医師に感謝を」
