ユーロ2024グループB最終節、クロアチア代表vsイタリア代表が24日に行われ、1-1で引き分けた。5日前のアルバニア代表戦を2-2の引き分けに持ち込まれ1分け1敗の最下位に沈むクロアチアは、勝利すれば突破となる中、4選手を変更。ペトコビッチやペリシッチらに代えてマリオ・パシャリッチやスチッチを起用した。

一方、4日前のスペイン代表戦を0-1のスコア以上の内容差で敗れた1勝1敗の2位イタリアは、引き分け以上で突破となる中、3選手を変更。スカマッカやキエーザらに代えてレテギやラスパドーリを起用し、[3-5-2]で臨んだ。
5バックで構えるイタリアに対し、クロアチアは5分、スチッチのミドルシュートでゴールに迫るもGKドンナルンマの好守に阻まれる。

その後もクロアチアが押し込み、イタリアが守る構図で試合は推移。そんな中27分、イタリアに決定機。CKの流れからバレッラの右クロスをバストーニがヘッドで合わせたが、GKリヴァコビッチのファインセーブに阻まれた。
互いの守護神が好守を見せた中、ハーフタイムにかけては好機なくゴールレスで前半を終えた。

迎えた後半、フラッテージを投入したイタリアは52分、ボックス内でのフラッテージのハンドによりクロアチアにPKが与えられる。しかしキッカーのモドリッチはGKドンナルンマにシュートを止められてしまう。

それでも二次攻撃の流れからクロアチアが押し切る。ブディミルのボレーは再びドンナルンマにファインセーブで止められるも、ルーズボールに詰めたモドリッチが押し込んだ。

PK失敗を取り戻すモドリッチのユーロ史上最年長弾で先制したクロアチアに対し、追う展開となったイタリアはキエーザを投入。

前線に人数をかけ出した中、61分にはCKからバストーニのヘディングシュートでゴールに迫ると、イタリアが攻勢を強めていく。

それでも守勢のクロアチアは選手交代を使って粘り強く凌ぎ、時間を消化。80分にはモドリッチを下げた中、イタリアの攻撃をうまく抑え込んで逃げ切るかに思われた。

しかしラストプレーの追加タイム8分、イタリアに劇的同点弾。カラフィオーリの持ち上がりからラストパスをボックス左で待ち構えていたザッカーニがダイレクトシュート。見事にコントロールされたフィニッシュがゴールに吸い込まれた。

直後にタイムアップを迎え、イタリアが2位通過に。一方、引き分けに持ち込まれたクロアチア(勝ち点2)はスロベニア(勝ち点2)とチェコ(勝ち点1)の結果次第だが、敗退濃厚となっている。

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

日向坂46の影山優佳さん、内田篤人も「渋いところから持ってきたね」と驚く今年最も注目する選手は?

46歳ブッフォンがついに結婚! 2017年にプロポーズ、10年以上連れ添った女子アナと挙式…元チームメイトらゲストは250名以上に
