23日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)グループE第1節でドイツは日本と対戦した。
下馬評ではドイツが優勢。5度目のW杯制覇を目指すチームは前半から押し込むと、イルカイ・ギュンドアンのPKで先制に成功する。

その後も押し込み続けると、前半アディショナルタイムにはカイ・ハヴァーツがネットを揺らすが、VARチェックの結果、オフサイドで取り消しとなった。

後半は1点リードで迎えたが、日本がシステムを変えたことでチャンスを作れるようになる。それでもドイツが押し込み続け、何度となく日本ゴールに迫ったが、GK権田修一の好セーブに阻まれ、得点は奪えず。
すると、ブンデスリーガでプレーする堂安律(フライブルク)、浅野拓磨(ボーフム)がゴールを奪い万事休す。初戦で負けられないドイツは猛攻を仕掛けるが、最後までネットを揺らせず、1-2で逆転負け。2大会連続で初戦黒星となった。

2失点を喫したノイアーは敗因について「チャンスを逃したことと、守備が不十分だったことが原因だ」とコメント。「日本がプレスをかけて来たので、冷静に良いポジションが取れなかった」と、日本のプレスによって良いポジションを守備陣が取れていなかったことを挙げた。

また、「より良いパスと自信があれば、もっと良くなっただろう。相手を強くさせてしまった」と、徐々に日本に自信を取り戻させてしまったとコメント。「しっかりとパスで表現しなければ、いずれ返り討ちに遭う。自分たちが招いたことだった」と、敗れた理由は自分たちにあるとした。

ドイツ代表がメンバー変更…F・エンメチャ辞退で28歳MFプロメルが初招集【国際親善試合】

ドイツサッカー協会(DFB)は13日、ドイツ代表メンバーの変更を発表した。 ユーロ2024開催国のドイツは今回のインターナショナルマッチウィークで18日にホームでトルコ代表と、21日にアウェイでオーストリア代表と親善試合を戦う。 10日に発表された代表メンバーでは、ドルトムントのMFフェリックス・エンメチャが招集されていたが、股関節の軽度の負傷によって辞退が決定。 これを受け、ホッフェンハイムの28歳MFグリシャ・プロメルが追加招集でA代表初招集となった。 ウニオン・ベルリンで台頭したセントラルMFのプロメルは、昨年夏に古巣であるホッフェンハイムに帰還。今シーズンここまではブンデスリーガ全11試合に出場し、安定したパフォーマンスを披露している。 2023.11.13 22:25 Mon

ドイツ代表に激震、77年続いたアディダスとの契約終了…2027年からはナイキに

ドイツサッカー界きってのカップル、フンメルス夫妻に離婚危機が浮上
