イタリアサッカー連盟(FIGC)のガブリエレ・グラヴィナ会長が、ユーロ2024本大会出場を喜んだ。イタリア『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えている。

昨年11月に開催されたカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)出場を逃す屈辱を味わったイタリアは、今年8月にロベルト・マンチーニ前監督が突如として辞任を表明。FIGCは目標としていたユーロ2024本大会出場を果たすため、昨季ナポリに33年ぶりのスクデットをもたらしながら退任していたルチアーノ・スパレッティ監督に、混乱するチームの再建を託した。

就任早々ユーロ予選に挑むことになったスパレッティ監督だが、5試合を消化して3勝1分け1敗の2位につけ、20日に行われた最終節では3位のウクライナ代表と対戦。引き分け以上で本大会出場が決まる一戦は苦しい展開が続きながらも最後まで失点を許さずゴールレスドローに終わり、チャンピオンに輝いた前回大会に続く本大会出場を決めた。
この結果にはグラヴィナ会長も喜びを露わにしており、難しい仕事を成し遂げたスパレッティ監督に賛辞を贈っている。

「我々はイタリア国民に対して、(W杯予選敗退による)傷を癒すと約束していた。そして今日、その約束を果たせたと思う」
「(ナポリを退任した)スパレッティはフットボールへの熱意が戻り、特別なチームに復帰したいという願望が芽生えていた。彼は喜びと冷静さを持って、このチームに形と個性を取り戻したのだ」

「最後の数分間の苦しみを除き、今日は試合を支配するチームが見られたと思う。試合終了時には、すべての欲望と喜びが見て取れただろう。我々は(ユーロが開催される)ドイツに行く。そこに行くべきだったが、行けないリスクもあった。スパレッティとチーム全員を称賛したい」

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

「イケすぎてませんか」イタリア代表が白×金の125周年記念ユニフォームを発表!「美しい」「マジでかっこいい」

イタリアサッカー連盟(FIGC)とアディダスは13日、125周年記念ユニフォームを発表した。 通算4度のワールドカップ(W杯)優勝を誇るイタリア。直近のW杯は2大会連続出場を逃すというまさかの結果だったが、2021年夏に開催されたEURO2020では優勝し、欧州王者にも輝いた。 そのFIGCが設立されたのは、今から 125 年以上前の1898 年 3 月 26 日。FIGC は 125 周年記念の特別ロゴも発表していたが、記念ユニフォームについても発表となった。 記念ユニフォームのデザインは、イタリア代表の初めての試合と言われている1910年のフランス代表戦で着用していたユニフォームからインスピレーションを得ており、無地の白がベース。両肩のスリーストライプスやアディダスのロゴはゴールドという配色だ。 左胸にはイタリア代表のエンブレムに加え、「125周年 1898-2023」という歴史が刻まれている。 ショーツも白にゴールドのアクセントという配色で、サイドにスリーストライプスが施され、イタリア代表のエンブレムが右太腿あたりにくるデザイン。一方、ソックスは黒地にゴールドの刺繍が施されており、前面にイタリアの文字、背面にアディダスのロゴ、膝下の三本線が入っている。 発表されたユニフォームには、早速ファンからも「これマジでかっこいい」、「ユニフォーム自粛期間なんですけど、これはイケすぎてませんか」、「美しい」、「かっけえ」と反響が集まっている。 なお、この記念ユニフォームについては15日に行われるUEFAネーションズリーグ2022-23の準決勝スペイン代表戦で選手たちが着用する予定だ。 <span class="paragraph-title">【写真】白×金 イタリア代表の125周年記念ユニフォーム</span> <span data-other-div="movie"></span> <blockquote class="instagram-media" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink="https://www.instagram.com/p/CtbDH6AN4L2/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading" data-instgrm-version="14" style=" background:#FFF; あの日を最後に18年…マテラッツィ氏が改めて「ジダンと会いたい」
