アーセナルがアストン・ビラの元ブラジル代表MFドウグラス・ルイス(25)の獲得に引き続き興味を持っているという。イギリス『90min』が伝えた。
ドウグラス・ルイスは2017年にヴァスコ・ダ・ガマからマンチェスター・シティへと完全移籍。すぐに同じシティ・フットボール・グループ(CFG)のジローナへと2年間のレンタル移籍を経験すると、復帰後の2019年7月にアストン・ビラへと完全移籍した。
労働許可証の問題もあり、シティでは多くの選手と同様に出番がないまま売りに出されたが、アストン・ビラでは主軸として活躍。中盤の底で公式戦165試合に出場し18ゴール14アシストを記録している。
そのドウグラス・ルイスに対しては、アーセナルが1月の補強ターゲットにしているとのこと。昨夏の移籍市場で3度もオファーを出したがアストン・ビラは拒否。アーセナルは2500万ポンド(約46億円)を提示したという。

バレンシアがバレネチェアを獲得…今夏ユーベからアストン・ビラに完全移籍
