主軸選手との軋轢が報じられた前コリーヌ・ディアクル監督の解任に伴い、3月30日に緊急就任が決まったエルヴェ・ルナール監督(54)。オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)で優勝候補の一角であるチームを率いると、初戦のジャマイカ女子代表戦で引き分けると、ブラジル女子代表、パナマ女子代表を相手に連勝しグループステージを突破していた。

「鶏デカすぎ」「ケンタッキーとのコラボか?」フランス代表の新ユニフォームにはビッグサイズのロゴが採用「巨大すぎない?」
