オーストラリアサッカー協会(FFA)は20日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア最終予選に臨むオーストラリア代表メンバーの変更を発表した。
日本代表、サウジアラビア代表とグループの上位2カ国との対戦が残っているオーストラリア。W杯への逆転出場に向けたビッグマッチを控える中、選手の招集に影響が出ている。
今回離脱するのはFWクレイグ・グッドウィン(アデレード・ユナイテッド)とMFジャクソン・アーバイン(ザンクト・パウリ/ドイツ)の2名とのことだ。
グッドウィンは新型コロナウイルス(COVID-19)の陽性判定を受けチームに合流できないことから不参加に。アーバインはアーバインはドイツから移動する前に行われた検査で陽性となり、帰国できなかった。
なお、追加招集としてメルボルン・ビクトリーのFWベン・フォラミとブラックプールのMFケネス・ドゥーガルが招集された。

元イタリア代表ディアマンティが引退表明、ユーロ2012準優勝メンバーでACLでも得点「ファンの愛が僕にとって最高の戦果」
