国見で6度の全国制覇、多くのJリーガーを育てた小嶺忠敏監督が他界…2007年から長崎総科大学附属高校を指揮

長崎総科大学附属高校は7日、サッカー部の小嶺忠敏監督が他界したことを発表した。76歳だった。

発表によると、小嶺監督は7日の午前4時24分に長崎市内の病院で逝去されたとのことだ。

長崎総科大附属高校は、現在行われている第100回全国高校サッカー選手権大会に出場。1回戦では北海高校(北海道代表)相手に1-2で勝利すると、2回戦では堀越(東京都A代表)を相手に1-0で勝利。しかし、3回戦では東山高校(京都府代表)相手に3-0で敗戦していた。
なお、小嶺監督はベンチ入りしていなかった。

小嶺監督は長崎県出身で、1968年に長崎県立島原商業高校で指導。1984年に就任した長崎県立国見高校では、チームを全国高校サッカー選手権大会で6度の優勝に導く手腕を見せた。
初出場の1986年に準優勝を果たすと、2度目の出場となった1987年で優勝。その後、1990年、1992年、2000年、2001年、2003年に優勝を果たしている。

なお、その間に多くのJリーガーや日本代表選手を輩出し、昨シーズン限りで現役を引退した大久保嘉人やヴィッセル神戸の三浦淳寛監督、平山相太らがいる。

その後、参議委員選挙に立候補するなどした後、2007年に長崎総科大学附属高校のサッカー部監督に就任。吉岡雅和(レノファ山口FC)、安藤瑞季(水戸ホーリーホック)、鈴木冬一(ローザンヌ/スイス)、安藤翼(SC相模原)、知念哲矢(浦和レッズ)らを輩出していた。

「サッカーが好きになりました」俳優の横浜流星が大久保嘉人の力添えで苦手克服

「メッチャ馬入」『オールドルーキー』綾野剛の登場に湘南ファンが大興奮!「入団か⁉」
