「アルトゥールは僕は素晴らしい選手だと思っているので、少し驚いている。彼がどうやってボールをキープしているのかを見てみたい。ライバルであり、とても若い選手だ」

サンペールは、バルセロナの下部組織出身で、グラナダやラス・パルマスへのレンタル移籍を経て、2019年3月に神戸へとフリートランスファーで加入。昨シーズンは明治安田生命J1リーグで24試合に出場していた。そんなサンペールはスペイン『コーペ』のインタビューに応じ、今オフのバルセロナの移籍についてコメント。ブラジル代表MFアルトゥールを放出し、ボスニア・ヘルツェゴビナ代表MFミラレム・ピャニッチを獲得することについて見解を語った。「ピャニッチも僕には素晴らしい選手に見える。ただ、彼がチームにどうフィットするかは分からない。ユベントスでは彼がディフェンシブなピボーテとして機能していたので、誰がバルサの監督になるのか、そして彼がどうフィットするかは分からない」
そのサンペールだが、神戸では大きなケガもなく、チームの重要な役割を担い、今シーズンもここまでJ1リーグで5試合に出場し、1アシストを記録している。

「イニエスタから電話がきた」サンペールがバルサ退団会見で明かす

来日5年‥家族も2人増えたイニエスタの妻が改めて心境を綴る「この冒険を一緒に生き続けることは光栄です!」

「日本に住んで3年になりますが」イニエスタの妻が日本生活での驚きを打ち明ける「いまだに驚いています」
