アデレード・ユナイテッドのFW指宿洋史が、チームの全4ゴールに絡む活躍を見せた。

オーストラリアのAリーグ・メンは、グランドファイナルの代替として、1都市で複数試合を行うユナイトラウンドを12日から14日にシドニーで開催。アデレード・ユナイテッドは13日にアリアンツ・スタジアムでシドニーFCと対戦した。指宿は最前線で先発出場。3得点1アシストと圧巻のパフォーマンスを披露し、4-3の勝利に貢献した。

1点ビハインドの24分にベン・ハロランの折り返しを左足で流し込み、同点ゴールをマークすると、34分には再びハロランの落としから逆転弾。コントロールからの見事な切り返しでDFをかわし、左足でネットを揺らす。

前半のアディショナルタイム5分には左へ流れて裏を取り、グラウンダーの絶妙なクロスでネストリ・イランクンダのゴールをお膳立てすると、折り返しての73分には195cmの長身を生かしたヘディング弾でハットトリックを達成した。

柏レイソルの育成組織で育った指宿は、ジローナでトップチームキャリアをスタート。スペイン、ベルギーでのプレーを経て、2014年7月にアルビレックス新潟でJリーグデビューを果たす。以降は、ジェフユナイテッド千葉、湘南ベルマーレ、清水エスパルスを渡り歩き、2022年にアデレード・ユナイテッド入り。

オーストラリアでは2021–22シーズンで公式戦6得点、昨季は9得点を挙げ、今季は今試合のハットトリックで7得点目に。さらなる数字の積み上げが期待される。

「観客動員が少ない!」オーストラリア・Aリーグが従業員の半数解雇で事業再編へ…今季の平均観客動員数最多はシドニーFCで「1万4097人」
