マンチェスター・ユナイテッドは6日、なでしこジャパンのMF宮澤ひなた(23)が完全移籍で加入することを発表した。背番号は「20」となる。宮澤は神奈川県出身で、日テレ・東京ヴェルディベレーザから2021年のWEリーグ開幕を前にマイナビ仙台レディースに移籍した。
WEリーグでは2シーズンを戦い39試合4得点。皇后杯では2試合出場、WEリーグカップでは5試合に出場していた。
池田太監督の下でなでしこジャパンに定期的に招集されると、20日に終了したオーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)のメンバー入りを果たすことに。チームはベスト8で敗退となったが、宮澤は優勝したスペイン女子代表戦で2ゴールを記録するなど大会5ゴールを記録し、2011年の澤穂希以来となるadidasゴールデンブーツ賞(得点王)を受賞。世界からも注目される存在となった。
海外クラブへの移籍を前提とした手続きと準備のために8月25日にマイナビ仙台レディースを離脱。当初はリバプールへの移籍も噂された中、ユナイテッドへの移籍が決定した。

ユナイテッド、約13億投じた女子チームの新トレーニング施設公開「真の野心と計画がある」

老朽化に直面するオールド・トラッフォード、4万人超え来場日本人対決の裏で天井の一部が落下か

C・ロナウド、美人アーティストの電話番号のためポルシェを格安で譲る!ユナイテッド時代のスタッフが仰天エピソードを明かす

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす
