日本サッカー協会(JFA)では現在、ワールドカップ(W杯)を控えるなでしこジャパンへ充てた応援キャンペーンとして「写真で作る応援モザイクアート」の素材を募集している。
"笑顔"、"サッカー"、"なでしこジャパン"にまつわる写真を募集し、応募された写真でモザイクアートを制作。オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子W杯直前に開催される7月14日の国際親善試合でも、会場に大パネルをフォトスポットとして用意し、モザイクアートはなでしこジャパンの選手にも届けられる予定だ。
JFAのインスタグラムでは関係者からも写真も紹介され、2011年ドイツ大会の優勝メンバーである澤穂希さんや宮間あやさんも登場。また、男子の日本代表指揮官を務める森保一監督から満面の笑みも届けられた。
澤さんには「なでしこの神」、海外からも「レジェンド」といった声が寄せられたほか、宮間さんには「最高ー眩しいー」の声以外にも「澤さんがショートにしたのかと」と、笑顔が澤さんに似ているなどのコメントも届いている。
なお、写真の募集期間は5月14日まで。テーマに沿った写真であれば、人(複数名可)、動物、風景などジャンルは不問となっており、応募者の中から計7名に日本代表ユニフォームなど、なでしこジャパン選手のサイン入りグッズがプレゼントされる。応募はJFAの特設サイトから行うことができる。

2011年の女子ワールドカップ(W杯)で初優勝の栄冠に輝いたなでしこジャパンを公式ツイッターが取り上げている。
2011年ドイツ大会で躍進を遂げ、初優勝の栄冠をつかんだなでしこジャパン。女子W杯公式ツイッターアカウントは10日になでしこのレジェンドと称して澤穂希がW杯で挙げた全8ゴールを紹介。もちろん、ドイツ大会のアメリカ女子代表との決勝戦の一撃も含まれている。
続いて、PK戦までもつれ込んだそのアメリカ戦で勝負を決めた熊谷紗希(現:バイエルン/ドイツ)のキックもピックアップ。さらに、翌11日には準決勝のスウェーデン女子代表戦で川澄奈穂美(現:NJ/NYゴッサムFC/アメリカ)が決めたループシュートを、エフェクト付きで取り上げている。
2011年7月13日。フランクフルト・アム・マインのコメルツバンク・アレーナで行われた一戦は、先制を許しながらも、川澄のヘディングで追い付いて試合を折り返した。
59分に澤のゴールで逆転に成功すると、63分には川澄が決勝行きを大きく手繰り寄せる追加点を奪取。距離はあったが、飛び出していたGKの位置を見て敵陣中央の左寄りから鮮やかなループシュートを沈めた。
美しい軌跡には「このゴールで魅了され11年くらいファンやってます」、「宝石のようなゴール」、「ナホさんといえばこれ」などの声が寄せられているほか、INAC神戸レオネッサを初代WEリーグ女王に導いた星川敬監督も反応を示している。
川澄本人はリプライで「あ、たまたま入ったやつだ」と涼しいコメント。ファンからは「たまたまのレベルが高すぎます」と言った声が上がり、INAC神戸時代のチームメイト、レベッカ・モロスからは「ウ・ソ!」と突っ込まれるなどしている。
あれから11年が経過。今では世界トップとの差を再び痛感させられつつあるなでしこジャパンだが、2023年7月19日に開幕を迎えるオーストラリア&ニュージーランド大会での"再輝"が期待される。

元なでしこジャパンの澤穂希さんが川崎フロンターレのレジェンドOBであり、日本代表でも活躍した中村憲剛氏の引退試合に参加後、その心境とともに今後の活躍を願った。
川崎Fひと筋で現役キャリアを築き、日本代表としても活躍した中村憲剛氏の引退試合が14日に『明治安田 presents 中村憲剛 引退試合』と銘打たれ、Uvance とどろきスタジアム by Fujitsuで開催。前後半をJAPANフレンズ、KAWASAKIフレンズで分けての試合は川崎Fの企画力も存分に散りばめられ、2万2014人の観客を盛り上げた。
縁のあるメンバーがズラリと集結したこの試合の前座としてケンゴフレンズとなでしこフレンズのエキシビジョンマッチも実施。小学生時代の中村氏と府ロクサッカークラブで2年先輩として共闘した澤さんはなでしこフレンズでプレーした。
「年下ではあるけど、本当にリスペクトする選手の1人。小学校のときから礼儀、挨拶もしっかりとしていて、それが今になっても変わらず、しっかりとできている本当に格好いい後輩だなと。自慢の弟みたいな感じです」
そう感慨深そうに話すと、久々に一緒のピッチに立った感想をこう続ける。
「(小学生時代は)まだ憲剛は小さかったし、大きくなったなと(笑) 本当に小学校のときから基礎、基本がしっかりとしていて、技術も高いし、辞めてから3年ぐらい経っても変わらず、ピッチ上で存在感もあった。頼もしく、格好よかった」
そして、今後の中村氏にも「これから指導者としても活躍していくと思う。いつか日本代表の監督でも、コーチでも、一人でも多く世界で活躍できる選手を出してほしいし、世界でトップの監督になってほしい」とエールを送っている。

先々週と先週末は中村憲剛、アンドレス・イニエスタ、そして南雄太の引退試合を取材した。15日にバルセロナ・レジェンズの一員として出場したイニエスタは、試合終了間際にOGにつながるゴールをお膳立てして2-1の勝利に貢献。南アW杯、オランダとの決勝でも延長戦で決勝ゴールを決めて、スペインを初のW杯優勝に導いた勝負強さは相変わらずだった。
19日には今シーズン限りでトップリーグの主審から勇退する西村雄一氏が記者会見を開いたが、同氏も南アW杯の準々決勝、オランダ対ブラジル戦で主審を務め、決勝戦では第4の審判を務めただけに、2人の浅からぬ縁を感じたものだ。
そして南と中村の引退試合では、様々な趣向を凝らした演出に感心してしまった。まず南の始球式には長男の太童くんがPKに登場したものの、蹴ると思いきやボールを手で投げてゴール。これがフィナーレの伏線になるとは思いもしなかった。
試合はユウタ・フレンズと代表OBによるブルー・レジェンズの両チームで出場した南が4ゴールをあげれば、鮮やかな2ゴールを決めた加地亮は解説席にいるカズの前まで走り寄り「カズ(カジ)ダンス」を披露。そっくりのダンスは、カズによると加地のお父さんが小学生時代に読売クラブのユニホームを持っていて、それを加地も子供の頃に着ていたくらいカズのファンだったそうで、Jリーグ開幕当時の少年時代はカズダンスを踊っていたのだろう。
そのカズも右クロスを足と頭で合わせて2ゴール。しかし「カズダンスは公式戦でね」ということで、親交の深い田原俊彦の「抱きしめてTONIGHT」の踊りを披露した。
両チーム、点の取り合いとなった試合はユウタ・フレンズが10-9とリードしたところで後半44分、GK南がスローインを自陣ゴールに投げ込んで同点に。このシーンで家本政明主審は「VAR」と書かれた紙を掲げてVAR判定を導入。するとスタジアムのオーロラビジョンには04年4月の広島対柏戦で、南のOGシーンが再現された。
家本主審はゴールを認め10-10のタイスコアで試合終了、と思いきや南は「10-10で決まった瞬間、PK戦をやりたいと。(両チームのキッカーの)順番は僕が決めました」ということでPK戦に突入した。
PK戦はブルー・レジェンズの1番手、遠藤保仁が得意のコロコロPKを決めたが、2番手の松井大輔のラボーナは南がストップし、3番手の中澤佑二は豪快に上にバーをオーバー、さらに「本気で蹴った」カズの右上へのシュートは南が弾いてユウタ・フレンズがPK戦4-2の勝利を収めた。
試合後、南はOGについて「試合が決まってからたくさんの人から“期待しています”と言われた。演出の人も考えてくれた。初めてOGしてよかったと思った」と筋書き通りのOGだったことを明かした。
南だけでなく、加地や坪井慶介は相変わらずの俊足で攻守に貢献し、カズはまたぎフェイントからエラシコでマーカーを抜き去りシュートを放ち、中村俊輔は現役時代を彷彿させる鮮やかな直接FKを決めるなど「みんなエンターテナーだなと後ろから見ていて思った」と南が感心するほど、遊び心満載の90分プラスPK戦だった。
一方、中村の引退試合は、澤穂希さん、阪口夢穂さん、吉田沙保里さんらなでしこフレンズとラモス瑠偉さん、矢部浩之さんらケンゴフレンズの試合に始まり、日本代表OBによるジャパンフレンズ同士の試合、そして最後に川崎フレンズ同士の試合と見どころ満載の試合の連続だった。
なでしこフレンズとの試合では、中村はレスリングの元世界女王の吉田さんからタックルを受けるハプニングも。そしてジャパンフレンズの試合では小野伸二が絶妙トラップやリフティングでマーカーをかわすなど、華麗なテクニックでファンの歓声を誘っていた。
南も99年にナイジェリアで開催されたワールドユース(現U-20W杯)で準優勝を果たした際に、「対戦相手はメチャクチャ強いとは思わなかったし、小野伸二より巧い奴はいないな」と思って大会に臨んだと明かしていた。
緩急の間を心得た小野と遠藤保仁、中村俊輔、中村憲剛の4人は改めてワールドクラスの選手だし、稲本潤一の推進力と展開力、大久保嘉人のポジショニングと嗅覚は、さすが一時代を築いた選手たちだなと改めて実感した引退試合だった。
