バスク代表が今後、公式戦参加? 選手市場価値は欧州17位

そのバスク代表は2018年12月にFIFAとUEFA加盟を目指していたが、スペインサッカー連盟(RFEF)が強硬に拒否したことで、このタイミングでの加盟は実現しなかった。

しかし、バスクサッカー連盟のルイス・マリ・エルストンド会長は中長期的に公式戦への参加が認められる可能性があると考えている。スペイン『マルカ』が伝えている。

エルストンド会長は先日にバスクのスポーツチームの国際大会への参加に向け、スペイン中央政府とバスク政府の間で予備的な合意があったとの注目の発言を行っていた。

しかし、今回のインタビューでは「自分の表現が悪かった」とその発言を訂正。ただ、「中長期的には別のチームとして受け入れられる可能性がある」と、バスク代表の公式戦出場に向けて楽観的な態度を示している。

また、FIFAとUEFA加盟に向けて最大の障壁となるRFEFのネガティブな反応に関しても、両政府による交渉が進んでいることを理由に、「正式なステータスにどれだけ近づいているかはわからない。だが、我々は近づいている」と同じく楽観的な姿勢を貫いている。

なお、ドイツ『transfermarkt』が伝えるところによれば、現時点でバスク代表のUEFA加盟が認められた場合、代表招集資格がある選手の市場価値はUEFA内で17位にランクインすることになり、スイス代表(現17位)やウェールズ代表(18位)よりも上に入るという。

さらに、現在スペイン代表で活躍するFWミケル・オヤルサバルやMFアンデル・エレーラが加わった場合、代表チームとしての市場価値はさらに上がるという。

バスク代表が今後、公式戦参加? 選手市場価値は欧州17位

モロッコの国家的プロジェクト…ブラヒム&16歳ヤマルに政府高官が接触、自国にルーツの海外出身選手でA代表強化へ

「誰か説明してくれ」「めちゃくちゃだ」スペイン代表の新ユニフォームがリーク、蛍光イエローのアウェイが不評「もう白の無地にすればいい」
