欧州サッカー連盟(UEFA)は13日、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)ラウンド16・2ndレグのアトレティコ・マドリーvsレアル・マドリーで発生したVARの判定について声明を発表した。

12日、アトレティコはCLラウンド16・2ndレグでマドリーと対戦。開始直後の先制ゴールで2戦合計追いつくも、その後が続かず。PK戦にまでもつれた試合は、マドリーに軍配が上がった。

話題となっているのがこの試合のPKのシーン。2人目を務めたアトレティコのアルゼンチン代表FWフリアン・アルバレスが豪快に決めて成功するも、VARチェックの結果、軸足が触れており2度蹴りとなって失敗となっていた。

大きな争点となったこのシーンだが、アトレティコからの問い合わせを受けたUEFAが公式見解を発表した。

UEFAはPKのシーンの映像を公開。滑ったアルバレスの軸足が蹴る直前にわずかに触れている様子が確認できる。

「添付のビデオクリップでわかるように、選手は蹴る前に立っている足でボールに触れたが、これは軽微であった。現行のルール(競技規則、第 14.1 条)では、VARは審判にゴールを認めない旨の合図をしなければならなかった」

「UEFAはFIFAおよびIFABと協議し、ダブルタッチが明らかに故意でない場合のルールを見直す必要があるかどうかを決定する予定だ」

今回はノーゴールと判定となったが、故意ではないパターンでの判定については、無効にはならずに蹴り直しなどルールが変化するかもしれない。
