サッカー協会会長と手を組みスーペル・コパをサウジに誘致したピケが釈明「すべて合法」、報酬は毎年5億円以上

バルセロナのDFジェラール・ピケが、スーペル・コパをサウジアラビアで行うことに関与しているという騒動に関して、初めてコメントした。 事の発端は、1つの音声ファイルが流出したことに始まる。その音声ファイルとは、スペインサッカー連盟(RFEF)のルイス・ルビアレス会長とピケの会話を録音したもの。スペイン『エル・コンフィデンシャル』が公開した。 この会話は2019年のもの。ピケの会社である『コスモス』が関与しているということを示すものだが、3年の時を経て流出することとなった。 スーペル・コパは、前のシーズンのラ・リーガ王者とコパ・デル・レイの王者が対戦する大会だったが、2019-20シーズンからフォーマットが変更。ラ・リーガの上位2チームとコパ・デル・レイのファイナリスト2チームが出場する4チームが争う形に変わっていた。 場所も2020-21シーズンは新型コロナウイルスの影響もありスペインで行われたが、サウジアラビアで開催することとなっていた。 しかし、これにはRFEFとピケが絡んでいたことが音声ファイルで発覚。RFEFとピケが所有する『コスモス』が6年契約を結び、サウジアラビアでの大会開催に変更したことが明らかになった。 RFEFは『コスモス』と契約し、さらにサウジアラビアのスポーツマーケティング企業である『セラ』と契約。開催されるごとにRFEFは4000万ユーロ(約55億円2700万円)、『コスモス』は400万ユーロ(約5億5000万円)を手にするというものになっていた。 ピケは、この件を受けてTwitchを通じて記者会見を実施。まずは音声について「何も隠す必要はなく、僕たちが行ったことはすべて合法だ」とコメント。悪いことはしていないと語り、「僕は隠すものが何もないので顔を見せたい。そして『コスモス』で僕たちは素晴らしい仕事をしたので隠れていない」とコメント。悪いことをしておらず、しっかりと役割を果たしたと説明した。 また、今回の関わりについても言及。サウジアラビア側から相談があり、ルビアレス会長に相談し、フォーマットも変えようと考えたと明かした。 「僕たちはサウジアラビアとの良好な関係を持っており、彼らは彼らの国に大会を誘致したいと言ったので、彼らがスーパーカップと『コスモス』を動かすことに興味があるかどうかをルビアレスに尋ねることを選んだ。また、デビスカップ(男子テニスの国別対抗戦)のようにフォーマットを変更することを提案した」 「会長はそのアイデアを気に入っており、振り返ってみれば、大成功を収めています。このフォーマットの変更を受け入れることで、彼は僕たちの委任状に署名し、僕たちは米国と話していました。ソニーと一緒に、彼らはカタールを提案ていた」 そのピケは自身の会社が手数料を受け取ることについても言及。「10%は比較的低く、市場は15〜20%の間で推移している。これは、市場に応じた手数料だ」と、正当な額であると主張した。 当時発表しなかった理由について問われてもピケは「真実は説明されていない多くの合意があるということだけど、これが今日の騒動を引き起こすとは思っていなかった」と、このような大きな問題に発展するとは思っていなかったとコメント。「秘密裏に行われる。RFEF総会で行われなければならなかった全ての手続きとプロセスが完了した。その時ではないので記者会見は開かれなかった。2019年にニュースが出て説明されたので、それが理由である騒ぎがわからない。何も隠されていなかった」と、隠したわけではないが発表するタイミングモンかあったとした。 あくまでも違法なことは何もしていないと強く主張するピケ。「唯一の違法なことは、人のプライベートな音声をいくつか取り、報道機関にリークすることだ」と、今回の音声を録音し流出させた人間が悪いとコメント。「誰がこの背後にいるのかを賢く知る必要はない」と、犯人探しはしないとしながらも、「会長はすでに法的措置を取るため、警察に報告した」とし、RFEF側が法的措置に出ることを明かした。 2022.04.19 16:43 Tue
