一方、前半アディショナルタイムにフランスが得たPKは、今大会が久々の代表招集となったFWカリム・ベンゼマが決めて、およそ6年ぶりのゴールに。だが、この時ポルトガル守護神ルイ・パトリシオはノーチャンスというわけではなかった。
実はベンゼマが蹴る直前、その背後でDFペペがR・パトリシオに対してジェスチャーで蹴るであろう方向を示していた。ペペは執拗に何度もキッカー側から左方向を指さし、守護神にそちらへ飛ぶよう助言していた。

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす
