マンチェスター・ユナイテッドがチェルシーのイングランド代表DFベン・チルウェル(27)にも目をつけているようだ。

エリク・テン・ハグ監督との新契約締結など首脳陣体制を整えているほか、選手の補強にも積極的に動き出しているユナイテッド。ボローニャのオランダ代表FWジョシュア・ザークツィー(23)や、バイエルンのオランダ代表DFマタイス・デ・リフト(24)、エバートンのイングランド代表DFジャラッド・ブランスウェイト(22)らの獲得に迫っている。

一方で、イングランド代表DFルーク・ショーとオランダ代表DFタイレル・マラシアの負傷離脱により、2023-24シーズンは壊滅状態が続いた左サイドバックも重要な補強箇所。イギリス『デイリー・メール』によると、選択肢の1つとしてチルウェルの獲得を検討しているという。
27歳の左利きDFは、2020年夏に4500万ポンド(約92億8000万円)でレスター・シティからチェルシーへ移籍。初年度から主力としてチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)制覇に貢献するも、ケガの多さがネックとなっている。

なお、2023年6月にチェルシーの公式サイトに掲載されたインタビューでは、「ユナイテッドを応援していた父とよく試合を観に行っていた」とコメント。オールド・トラッフォードには思い入れがあるようだ。

168億円で獲得も鳴かず飛ばず…チェルシーが1月にムドリク放出を検討か

チェルシーが大金を叩いて獲得したウクライナ代表FWミハイロ・ムドリク(23)を早くも手放す可能性があるようだ。イギリス『TEAMtalk』が伝えた。 ムドりくは、シャフタール・ドネツクで名を挙げると、移籍金8850万ポンド(約168億4000万円)で2023年1月にチェルシーへと完全移籍を果たす。 チェルシーで3シーズン目を迎えるが、ここまで公式戦62試合で7ゴール5アシスト。移籍金に見合った活躍をしているとは全く言えず、出場時間の確保にすら苦しむ状況だ。 今シーズンから指揮を執るエンツォ・マレスカ監督の戦い方にもフィットできていない状況であり、「努力が必要」だとムドリクがまだ足りていないことを明言している。 そんな中、チェルシーは1月の移籍市場で手放すことも考えているとのこと。より有望な左ウイングを手にする可能性が見出せれば、ムドリクを放出する気があるようだ。 ムドリクに対してはマルセイユが興味を持っているとし、昨シーズンまでブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオンを指揮していたロベルト・デ・ゼルビ監督は高く評価しているという。ただ、多額の移籍金を払う気はないため、レンタルになることが濃厚のようだ。 チェルシーがムドリクへの投資額を回収することはまず不可能。有り得るとすれば、ムドリクがレンタル移籍などで覚醒し、引く手数多になることだけだ。 なお、チェルシーは財務のバランスを取るために冬に4選手の売却を検討しているとのこと。夏の移籍市場では1億4700万ポンド(約280億7500万円)を選手売却で手にしたが、獲得に2億2000万ポンド(約418億7000万円)を叩いたため赤字の状態ではある。ムドリクに加え、ベン・チルウェル、アクセル・ディザジ、ブノワ・バディアシルが放出候補のようだ。 2024.09.19 22:00 Thu

元ユナイテッドSDがFAに復帰…新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任

元マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのスポーツディレクター(SD)、ダン・アシュワース氏が、イングランドサッカー協会(FA)に復帰することになった。 FAは14日、アシュワース氏が新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任すると発表。同職ではイングランド代表の男女チームと緊密に連携していくことになるという。 昨年12月にユナイテッドのSDをわずか5カ月で退任したアシュワース氏。それ以前にはブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン、ニューカッスルで手腕を発揮しており、国内外のクラブからのオファーも想定されていたが、2018年まで6年間に渡って勤務していたFAに復帰することになった。 アシュワース氏は、セント・ジョージズ・パークの再開発を監督し、2028年に開催されるユーロ2028の共催に向け、競技施設とピッチの改善を目指す。 さらに、この新役職は、男子フットボールのテクニカルディレクターであるジョン・マクダーモット氏と緊密に連携するとともに、FAの最高経営責任者(CEO)であるマーク・ブリンガム氏とも連携する。 また、イングランド国内の地元出身のコーチの育成にも携わる予定だという。 2025.05.15 16:30 Thu

元ユナイテッドのウェズ・ブラウンに破産宣告…

かつてマンチェスター・ユナイテッドで活躍した元イングランド代表DFウェズ・ブラウン氏(43)が、破産宣告を受けたようだ。イギリス『デイリー・ミラー』が報じている。 ブラウン氏はユナイテッドのアカデミー育ちで、1997-98シーズンのデビューから2010-11シーズンまで14シーズンに渡ってプレー。主力定着には至らずも、ディフェンスラインのバックアッパーとして通算362試合に出場。5度のプレミアリーグ制覇や2度のチャンピオンズリーグ制覇など、サー・アレックス・ファーガソン監督の下で多くのタイトルを獲得。 その後はサンダーランド、ブラックバーン・ローヴァーズを経て、2017-18シーズンにインドのケララ・ブラスターズで現役を引退。また、イングランド代表としても通算23試合に出場していた。 報道によると、ユナイテッドでの現役時代に、週給5万ポンド(約830万円)を稼いでいたとされるブラウン氏は、高等法院で破産宣告を受けているという。 今年2月27日にHMRC(イギリスの歳入税関庁)がブラウン氏に対して、破産申請を行い、4月12日に高等法院で承認されたという。 なお、ブラウン氏は昨年に、3人の子供をもうけた妻のリーンさんと13年間の結婚生活の末に離婚したことが報道されていた。 2023.04.21 07:00 Fri
