16日、リーグ・アン第22節でレンヌはリールと対戦。古橋はベンチスタートとなった。
ゴールレスで試合は進むと73分に古橋は途中出場。しかし、チームはクリストファー・ウーが退場となると、古橋はかつて脱臼した 左肩を負傷。肩を押さえたまま退場し、チームは9名となりそのまま0-2で敗戦となった。
移籍後2試合目の出場も肩を痛めてピッチを後にした古橋。試合後、ハビブ・ベイェ監督は古橋の負傷退場で9名になっては戦うのが難しいと語った。

「ローマは一連の行動を問題視」 モウリーニョとマティッチの関係破綻、10年来の師弟コンビに何が起きた?

トッテナム移籍後キャリア停滞のスペンス、コンテ元監督への不満吐露「ほとんど関係性がなかった」
ジェノアのU-21イングランド代表DFジェド・スペンスが、アントニオ・コンテ元監督の下で戦ったトッテナムでの半年を振り返った。 2022年夏にノッティンガム・フォレストからトッテナムへステップアップを果たしたスペンス。当時指揮を執っていたコンテ監督の信頼を掴めず、半年後にスタッド・レンヌへレンタル移籍となった。 今シーズンはチャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)のリーズ・ユナイテッドへ武者修行となったが、ケガなどもありレギュラー定着には至らず。冬にはレンタル先がジェノアへ変わっている。 イタリアの地で再浮上を目指すスペンスは、イギリス『The Athletic』のインタビューに応じ、トッテナムでの半年間に言及。難しい時期だったと嘆いている。 「良い時間を過ごせなかった。トッテナムに行ってもプレーできず、僕にとってハードだったのは明らかだ。選手としてどこかのビッグクラブと契約する時は、自信に満ち溢れ、両手を広げて歓迎されたいものだ。でも実際に加入すると、そんな感じではなかった。計画通りではなかった」 「チャンスが得られない時、選手としてできることはあまりない。道に迷い、プレーできず、リズムを取り戻すのが難しくなる。物事がうまくいかない時に新しい環境へ行くのは決して簡単ではないが、それもサッカーの一部だ。これも勉強だ」 また、プレータイムをほとんど与えてもらえなかったコンテ監督についてもコメント。選手のことを大事にしているとは感じられなかったようだ。 「正直なところ、彼とはほとんど関係性がなかった。彼は自分なりのやり方を持っている監督だ。選手たちとはあまり関係性を築いていないと思う。練習に来て、練習して… それだけだ」 一方、飛躍のきっかけを掴んだフォレスト時代の恩師、スティーブ・クーパー元監督には大きな信頼を寄せていた模様。人柄の良さを語っている。 「スティーブ・クーパーは良い人だし、人の気持ちを理解してくれる」 「彼は素晴らしい監督だ。選手としても人間としても僕を理解してくれた。それは僕にとって大事なことだ。彼はイングランド代表のユースでも監督をした経験があり、若い選手やさまざまな背景を持つ選手との付き合い方を知っていた。彼は僕をありのままにさせてくれた」 「クーパーの場合は、僕に自信を持たせてくれるし、質問もしてくれる。普通の人間のように話しかけてくれる。それはフットボールにおいて大きな役割を果たす。僕らはただ仕事に行ってボタンを押し、務めを果たしたり、プレーするだけの存在ではない。僕らは人間で、交流が好きで、話すことが好きだ」 2024.03.09 21:13 Sat
