日本代表DF橋岡大樹も所属するルートン・タウンは9日、ロブ・エドワーズ監督(42)が双方合意の下で退任したことを発表した。
4連敗となった6日のQPR戦後にエドワーズ監督と取締役会が会談。監督を退くことで合意に至ったという。
ルートン・タウンのギャリー・スウィートCEO(最高経営責任者)は、エドワーズ監督解任についてコメントしている。

エドワーズ監督は、2022年11月からチームを指揮。チャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)のチームを率いると、10位に沈んでいたチームを3位まで浮上させると、プレーオフで勝利しプレミアリーグに初昇格した。2023-24シーズンはプレミアリーグを戦ったが、チームは降格。今シーズンは再びチャンピオンシップを戦う中、チームは24チーム中20位と低迷。現在4連敗中と苦しい状況となっていた。ルートン・タウンのギャリー・スウィートCEO(最高経営責任者)は、エドワーズ監督解任についてコメントしている。

橋岡大樹所属のルートンがエドワーズ監督と契約解除、クラブ初のプレミア昇格に導くも今季は2部で20位と低迷

止まらない「ヒルズボロの悲劇」への嘲笑チャント…プレミアリーグが声明発表「容認できない問題として扱う」

開幕から不在の橋岡大樹は長期離脱の可能性…ルートン指揮官が明かす「おそらく2、3カ月。もっと長引くかも」
