マンチェスター・シティのポルトガル代表MFマテウス・ヌネスがスペイン代表MFロドリの穴埋めに名乗りだ。
2023年夏にウォルバーハンプトンから推定移籍金5300万ポンド(現レートで約103億円)で加わり、今季で2年目になるヌネス。シティでは中盤複数エリアでポイント的な起用が続き、今季も基本的にその立ち回りがメインだ。
そのなか、ロドリが先のアーセナルとのプレミアリーグで右ヒザのじん帯損傷で今季絶望に。イルカイ・ギュンドアンやマテオ・コバチッチでの穴埋めが浮かぶが、ヌネスも中盤の複数エリアをこなせる点で頭数に入ってきそうだ。

アグエロがシティの歴史に名を刻んだ瞬間、プレミア初優勝を決めた93:20の熱狂
