“リベリアの怪人“と呼ばれたジョージ・ウェア氏の息子として知られるティモシー・ウェア。リールとの契約は2024年6月まで残っているものの、ユベントスが獲得に動き、選手個人とはすでに口頭合意しているとも報じられていた。
移籍市場に精通するジャーナリストのファブリツィオ・ロマーノ氏によると、ユベントスはリールとも移籍金1200万ユーロ(約18億9000万円)で合意に至ったとのこと。そして、今週の木曜日(29日)にウェアのメディカルチェックが行われるという。
選手側とも長期の契約で合意済みであり、ウェアはイタリアでの新たな一歩に期待を高めている模様。イタリア『スカイ・スポーツ』は契約期間が5年になると報じており、サインがかわされるのみという状況のようだ。
今季リールで公式戦32試合に出場したウェアは、ウイングやセンターフォワードなど前線の複数ポジションをこなすことができる右利きのアタッカー。
