ユベントスは1日、リールのアメリカ代表FWティモシー・ウェア(23)を完全移籍で獲得した。契約期間は2028年6月30日までの5年間となる。

“リベリアの怪人”の愛称を持ち現在はリベリアの大統領でもあるジョージ・ウェア氏を父に持つウェアは、2019年7月にリールへ完全移籍。移籍初年度は筋肉系のケガの影響でシーズンを棒に振ったが、2年目以降は本職の左右のウインガー、またはセンターフォワードとして出場機会を増やしたが、昨季は左右のサイドバックにコンバートされ、公式戦32試合に出場して2アシストを記録した。

また、2018年3月に18歳でデビューしたアメリカ代表ではこれまで29試合に出場し4ゴールを記録。CONCACAFネーションズリーグ2022-23ファイナルズでは、準決勝のメキシコ戦、決勝のカナダ戦に出場し、アメリカ代表の優勝に貢献した。
なお、昨季限りで退団したコロンビア代表MFフアン・クアドラードの後継者を確保したユベントスは、基本移籍金1030万ユーロ+最大アドオン210万ユーロ+手数料100万ユーロの総額1340万ユーロ(約21億1200万円)を2年間の分割でリールに支払うことになる。

1チームに1人欲しかった“万能型サイドバック”、ジャンルカ・ザンブロッタ

欧州のドリブルキングはメッシ! C・ロナウドとは成功数に1000以上の差
