イングランド代表のレジェンド、ウェイン・ルーニー氏がFWハリー・ケインを祝福した。

ケインは23日に敵地で行われたユーロ2024予選のイタリア代表戦でPKから代表通算54得点目となるゴール。53ゴールで並び、歴代最多得点記録者だったルーニー氏を抜いて、単独トップに躍り出た。

ケインにとって、2015年のデビューから81キャップ目での代表史を動かす大記録にルーニー氏もさっそく反応してみせ、自身のSNSを通じて祝いのメッセージを発信している。

「イングランド代表の歴代最多得点者となったケインを祝福する。そう長らくかからないだろうと思ってはいたが、あっという間だったね。偉大な男、アンビリーバブルなゴールスコアラー、そして、イングランドの伝説。おめでとう、ハリー」

ゴール数でついにルーニー氏をも超えたケイン。まだ29歳とあって、まだまだ記録を更新していきそうだが、どこまで伸ばせるか。

元マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのスポーツディレクター(SD)、ダン・アシュワース氏が、イングランドサッカー協会(FA)に復帰することになった。 FAは14日、アシュワース氏が新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任すると発表。同職ではイングランド代表の男女チームと緊密に連携していくことになるという。昨年12月にユナイテッドのSDをわずか5カ月で退任したアシュワース氏。それ以前にはブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン、ニューカッスルで手腕を発揮しており、国内外のクラブからのオファーも想定されていたが、2018年まで6年間に渡って勤務していたFAに復帰することになった。アシュワース氏は、セント・ジョージズ・パークの再開発を監督し、2028年に開催されるユーロ2028の共催に向け、競技施設とピッチの改善を目指す。さらに、この新役職は、男子フットボールのテクニカルディレクターであるジョン・マクダーモット氏と緊密に連携するとともに、FAの最高経営責任者(CEO)であるマーク・ブリンガム氏とも連携する。また、イングランド国内の地元出身のコーチの育成にも携わる予定だという。 2025.05.15 16:30 Thu

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

トゥヘル新体制のイングランド代表が発表! 売り出し中のルイス=スケリー、32歳のバーンが初招集…ラッシュフォードやヘンダーソンが復帰【2026年W杯欧州予選】
