ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)は19日、ドイツ男子代表のディレクターにルディ・フェラー氏(62)の就任を発表した。

先のカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)でグループステージ敗退に終わったドイツ。ハンジ・フリック監督こそ留任したが、当時のディレクターだったオリバー・ビアホフ氏はその責任を取り、2024年までの契約を打ち切って辞任した。そのビアホフ氏の後任となるフェラー氏は自身も現役時代に1990年のイタリアW杯で西ドイツ代表の一員として優勝経験を持ち、2000〜2004年までドイツを率いた過去も。最近までレバークーゼンのスポーツディレクター(SD)を務めた。
来月2月1日から職務にあたるフェラー氏はDFBの公式サイトを通じて、強い意気込みを語っている。

「レバークーゼンでの素晴らしい年月を経て、私は監督として素晴らしい時間を過ごした場所に戻ってくる運びとなった。だからこそ、感謝の気持ちと情熱、そして大きなモチベーションを持って、代表チームでの新しい仕事に取りかかりたい」

ドイツサッカー界きってのカップル、フンメルス夫妻に離婚危機が浮上

19歳の至宝ヴィルツが憧れるクラブとは? レバークーゼンは安売り許さず?

長期離脱から復帰したレバークーゼンのドイツ代表MFフロリアン・ヴィルツ(19)への関心が強まっているようだ。 ヴィルツはドイツ代表の次世代を担うと言われている逸材。2020年5月に17歳15日でブンデスリーガデビューを果たすと、あっという間にチームの攻撃をけん引する存在となり、19歳にしてクラブ通算86試合21得点26アシストを記録している。 昨年3月に左ヒザ前十字じん帯を断裂し、長期離脱を強いられたのは痛恨だったが、今年1月に復帰後は公式戦8試合で2得点4アシストを記録。すでに完全復活を印象付けている。 ケガ以前からバルセロナやレアル・マドリーといったビッグクラブの関心が伝えらえていたが、スペイン『Fichajes』は、今後はより多くのクラブが熱視線を送るようになるだろうと主張している。 一方、レバークーゼンは2020年夏にドイツ代表MFカイ・ハヴァーツを8000万ユーロ(約115億5000万円)でチェルシーに売却した前例があり、昨夏に2027年6月までの長期契約を結んだヴィルツについても、そう簡単に手放すつもりはないと考えられている。 なお、ヴィルツは過去にバルセロナのファンであることを公言しているとのことだ。 2023.02.25 21:48 Sat

W杯で日本と対戦するドイツ代表の呼称「ディー・マンシャフト」が廃止に…7月末に結論

カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)では、日本代表とも対戦するドイツ代表だが、その“愛称”について議論がなされている。 2014年のブラジルW杯では優勝を果たしているドイツ代表。チームの愛称として「Die Mannschaft(ディー・マンシャフト)」が採用されている。 これはW杯制覇後の2015年にドイツ代表のマネージャーを務めるオリバー・ビアホフ氏が呼称として導入したもの。意味は「これがチームだ」というものだが、廃止の方向で話が進んでいる。 ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)のベルント・ノイエンドルフ会長は、この呼称について終わる可能性があることを20日にコメント。7月末に結論を出すという。 「終わりが来る。7月末に責任機関の会合が開かれ、決定が確実に下される。終わりのない話には興味がない」 「今回の定性調査では、我々のイメージを固め、意見をまとめることができるはずだ。ただ、調査に依存することはない」 この言葉の生みの親とも言われるビアホフ氏は「我慢すれば良い」と会長の決定を受け入れることを示唆。日本と対戦するときにはもう使われない愛称となっていそうだ。 2022.06.21 14:30 Tue

「目が死んでる」意地の勝利もW杯敗退のドイツ、ハヴァーツがコスタリカ戦のMOMに選ばれるも虚無の表情「そりゃこうなる」
