フランス代表GKウーゴ・ロリス(35)が、同国代表の歴代最多出場記録(143試合)を樹立した。

2008年11月のウルグアイ代表戦でのレ・ブルーデビューから14年を過ごしてきたトッテナムGKは、4日に行われたポーランド代表戦で、DFリリアン・テュラム氏が持つ142試合の歴代最多出場記録に並んだ。

そして、10日に行われたカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)準々決勝のイングランド代表で143キャップ目を刻んだロリスは、同国歴代最多出場記録を樹立することになった。
また、同試合でW杯通算出場数を「18」に更新したロリスは、GKファビアン・バルテズ氏を抜き、W杯通算出場数でも歴代最多記録を樹立。

なお、静かなるリーダーとして2010年11月以降、レ・ブルーのキャプテンという重責を担う35歳は、キャプテンとしても歴代最多の119試合に出場。2018年ロシアW杯、UEFAネーションズリーグ2020–21の2つのトロフィーを掲げている。

王者は初心忘れず…フランス代表が初めて在籍したアマクラブのユニで記念撮影

「鶏デカすぎ」「ケンタッキーとのコラボか?」フランス代表の新ユニフォームにはビッグサイズのロゴが採用「巨大すぎない?」
