アストン・ビラのウナイ・エメリ監督が最高のスタートを誇った。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が報じている。

プレミアリーグ16位に沈むビラの立て直しを期待され、ビジャレアルから到着したばかりのエメリ監督だが、6日に本拠地に行われた第15節でさっそく初陣。相手はマンチェスター・ユナイテッドだったが、3-1で勝利した。

公式戦9試合負けなしのユナイテッドに土をつけ、内容的にも手応えを感じさせるものに。エメリ監督は2度目のプレミアリーグ挑戦となる自身にとっても喜ばしいものとなり、「夢みたいな勝利だし、非常に嬉しいよ」と語った。

「我々にはエネルギーに溢れ、優れたスキルを持つ選手たちがいる。組織的かつ規律正しいプレーをしたかったなか、選手たちが一丸となり、ゲームプラン通りにやってくれた。特別な日になったね」

51歳のスペイン人指揮官はまた、先制弾のFWレオン・ベイリー、全得点に絡む1得点1アシストの活躍を披露したMFジェイコブ・ラムジーに賛辞の言葉を送っている。

スペイン代表DFパウ・トーレスは移籍を拒否、トッテナムのオファー認めるもエメリ監督「要件を満たしてはいない」

アストン・ビラがスタジアム改修をスタート、ユーロ2028の会場となり5万人収容に変貌へ

「寄せすぎ」「コピーだ」アストン・ビラの新エンブレムがチェルシーに酷似?実は過去のデザインを踏襲したもの
