ギュンドアンが代表引退の噂を否定 「それはまだありえない」

マンチェスター・シティのMFイルカイ・ギュンドアンがドイツ代表としてのキャリアを続行すると宣言した。

今夏に行われたユーロ2020ではラウンド16でイングランド代表に敗れ、無念の敗退を喫したドイツ。同大会を最後にヨアヒム・レーブ監督は15年の長期政権に幕を閉じ、その指揮官と共に歩んだMFトニ・クロースも11年の代表生活に終止符を打った。

そんな中、ユーロ2020では3試合に出場していたギュンドアンの代表引退の噂も浮上。2011年に初招集された30歳はMFヨシュア・キミッヒとMFレオン・ゴレツカらの台頭から、ナショナルチームから身を引くことを検討していると報じられた。
しかし、ドイツ『キッカー』のインタビューに応対したギュンドアンはそんな噂を否定。ハンジ・フリック新監督の下、代表キャリアを続行すると断言した。

「ユーロで早々に敗退した後、非常にがっかりしていたからね。休暇中はそういったことを忘れていたよ」
「ハンジとの前向きな話し合いの後、僕の意思ははっきりしていたよ。僕はまだ代表チームの章を終えていない。自分自身がそれはまだありえないと思ったんだ」

また、ここ数年の代表チームの不調については「すぐにポジティブな試合をして、納得してもらったファンを再び味方につけたいと思うよ」とコメント。立て直しに向けてモチベーションは高いようだ。

プレミアリーグ、ラマダン期間の開催試合で“飲水・栄養摂取タイム”の導入か

プレミアリーグは、ラマダン期間中に開催される試合に関して、選手、スタッフの健康状態への配慮からクーリングブレイクのような一時中断を計画しているようだ。 今月22日から4月21日までムスリム(イスラム教徒)の間では、ラマダンが実施される。 イスラム暦で9月を意味するラマダンは、ムスリムにとって“聖なる月”とされており、自制と規律が求められるこの期間にムスリムは夜明けから日暮れまでの間、一切飲食物を口にすることができない。 そして、フットボール界においても多くの敬虔なムスリムはサウムの期間にその教えを忠実に守り、たとえトレーニング中や試合中においても飲食物を口にすることはない。 この期間におけるコンディション調整を熟知しているベテラン選手はさほど気を遣ったサポートは必要ないが、基礎代謝が高く同期間における経験値が少ない若手選手にとってはパフォーマンスに大きな影響を及ぼすものとなる。 プレミアリーグではチェルシーのMFエンゴロ・カンテ、リバプールのFWモハメド・サラー、マンチェスター・シティのMFイルカイ・ギュンドアンといったスター選手を初め、多くの選手がその制限を受ける形となっている。 そういった中、近年多様性への理解が進むフットボール界において、イングランドのプレミアリーグとフットボールリーグ(EFL)は、クーリングブレイクのような形で選手、スタッフに日没後に飲水、栄養補給を行うための一時的な試合中断を検討しているという。 『ESPN』によると、各リーグ管理者と審判協会のPGMOLは、ラマダン期間にクラブがチームシートを交換する際、影響を受ける選手やスタッフがいるかどうかを調査するよう当局に通知したという。 そして、断食中の選手、クラブスタッフ、試合関係者がピッチサイドで、飲水やエネルギーサプリメントを摂取できるように、自然な形でのプレーの停止を実施する見込みだ。 これまでイスラム圏のリーグ戦では試合開始時間、同様のブレイクを採り入れていたが、ヨーロッパでは各試合において審判団の裁量で試合を一時的にストップする配慮がなされていたが、リーグ全体での決定となれば、画期的な試みとなるはずだ。 2023.03.22 23:32 Wed

エジル氏が旧知のエルドアン大統領の後ろ盾でトルコの政界に進出

ドイツのレジェンド・バラック氏が21歳モデルとキス…新恋人は2年前に他界した息子の親友

18歳の若さでこの世を去ったバラック氏の次男に、パートナーが哀悼のメッセージ

「全くもってプロではなかった」浅野拓磨を見下した?リュディガーのステップをドイツ代表のレジェンドも問題視「相手を軽んじてはいけない」

29歳で引退した元W杯王者の転身が話題!ほぼ裸で雪山に登頂、自分の人生を見直すきっかけに
