先週末にイングランドで行われたプレシーズンマッチで主審がスタンドの観客にイエローカードを掲示する珍しい場面があった。イギリス『SPORT BIBLE』が伝えている。この珍しい出来事が起こったのは、7月31日にアシュトン・ゲートで行われたブリストル・シティとアストン・ビラの一戦。
このゲームを裁いていた、プレミアリーグではお馴染みのケビン・フレンド氏は後半終盤にアウェイのビラにFKを与える。
だが、アウェイのゴール裏に陣取っていた一部のビラサポーターは、試合を通してブリストル生まれの50歳レフェリーの判定に納得がいかなかったのか、「あんたはクソなマイク・ディーンのようだな」と、イングランドであまり評判が芳しくないレフェリーのマイク・ディーン氏とフレンド氏を比較するチャントでイジりを敢行。
これに対してフレンド氏は大げさに肩をすくめるリアクションで応えると、楽しくなってきたビラサポーターは、さらに「ケビン、こっちに手を振ってくれよ」と、よりフレンドリーなチャントで相手のリアクションを促した。
この思わぬリアクションに大満足のビラサポーターは歓声と共に見事なユーモアを披露したフレンド氏に拍手を送った。

「寄せすぎ」「コピーだ」アストン・ビラの新エンブレムがチェルシーに酷似?実は過去のデザインを踏襲したもの

アストン・ビラがスタジアム改修をスタート、ユーロ2028の会場となり5万人収容に変貌へ
