バイエルンのドイツ代表GKマヌエル・ノイアーが代表通算100キャップを達成した。

シャルケ、バイエルンを渡り歩くクラブキャリアで輝かしい実績を築くとともに、代表でも2009年のデビューから長らく守護神に君臨するノイアー。ドイツはほかにもGKマルク=アンドレ・テア・シュテーゲンやGKベルント・レノを筆頭に優秀なGKが揃う“GK大国”だが、35歳の今も第一線を走り続け、来るユーロ2020の登録メンバーにも入った。

そんなノイアーはチームが本大会に向けて最終調整を続けるなかで、2日に行われたデンマーク代表との国際親善試合に出場すると、続く6日のラトビア代表戦でもプレー。チームが本大会前最後の一戦を7-1の大勝で飾り、弾みをつけたなか、個人としても代表キャリア節目の100試合出場を達成した。
ラトビア戦でのピッチに入場時にドイツの選手をはじめとする関係者からガード・オブ・オナーで迎えられ、功績が称えられたノイアーはその試合後、ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)の公式サイトで喜びの思いを語るとともに、仲間に感謝した。

「もちろん、この100試合到達までの旅路は信じられないほど素晴らしいものだった。そのなかで、感謝しなければならない仲間もいる。特にコーチングスタッフにね」
なお、同代表の歴代GKで100試合出場を達成したのは史上初。ノイアーが更新するまでの歴代最多出場者は1966〜1979年にかけて活躍したゼップ・マイヤー氏の95試合だった。

2011～2020年の世界ベストイレブンが発表!イニエスタとともに中盤に入ったのは相棒チャビではなく…

美しい日本、ドイツ撃破後のピカピカのロッカールームが世界で話題に…“ありがとう”の手紙と折り鶴

イスラム過激派組織と関係があるとされたリュディガーが記者を訴え「イスラム主義者として侮辱され、中傷されることを許さない」

クロースが新スパイクを試し履き 自国開催のユーロに向けてか
