バイエルンがボルシアMGに所属するスイス代表MFデニス・ザカリア(23)の獲得に本腰を入れ始めたようだ。ドイツ『スカイ』が報じている。

現在、バイエルンでは中盤の絶対的な主力を担うドイツ代表MFヨシュア・キミッヒが右ヒザを手術し、来年1月まで戦列を離れることが決定している。

今夏の移籍市場ではスペイン代表MFチアゴ・アルカンタラの後釜に、スペイン人MFマルク・ロカを獲得。さらに、退団濃厚と見られた元スペイン代表MFハビ・マルティネスも残留しており、主力を担うドイツ代表MFレオン・ゴレツカ、フランス代表MFコランタン・トリソを含め頭数自体は足りている。
ただ、キミッヒの長期離脱に伴い、クラブは選手層、質の問題を自覚しており、以前から獲得候補に挙がるリーグ屈指の守備的MF獲得に本腰を入れ始めているようだ。

『スカイ』によると、バイエルンは今年5月にヒザの手術に踏み切り、今季ここまで欠場が続くザカリアに関して、獲得時期は不明もすでに代理人サイドと接触しており、移籍に向けた話し合いを重ねているようだ。
ただ、バイエルンに精通するジャーナリストのクリスティアン・ファルク氏は先月、同選手に対するマンチェスター・ユナイテッド、チェルシーからの関心を伝えており、競合は避けられない構えだ。

母国ヤング・ボーイズでの活躍が認められ、2017年夏にボルシアMGへステップアップしたザカリアは、190cmの屈強なフィジカルを持つボランチ。

その体格通りのボール奪取力に加え、ポジショニングセンス、推進力にも長けた総合力の高い守備的MFは、ボルシアMGでの3シーズン半で100試合近く出場する絶対的な主力に成長している。また、昨シーズンから就任したマルコ・ローゼ監督の下、3バックの一角を担うなどプレーヤーとしての引き出しを増やしている。
