昨季プレミアリーグで4位と躍進し、41年ぶりに欧州最高峰の舞台に戻ってきたアストン・ビラは、プレミアリーグで3勝1敗スタートとしたなか、2点差をひっくり返して勝利した3日前のエバートン戦と同様のスタメンで臨んだ。
予選プレーオフを制したスイス王者ヤング・ボーイズに対し、アストン・ビラは12分、コリーにボックス左からGKマルティネス強襲のシュートを打たれてひやりとさせられる。

「寄せすぎ」「コピーだ」アストン・ビラの新エンブレムがチェルシーに酷似?実は過去のデザインを踏襲したもの
