31日、日本代表はアジアカップ2023のラウンド16でバーレーン代表と対戦する。過去の対戦成績は日本の8勝2敗となっているが、アジアカップの舞台で最後に対戦したのは2004年の中国大会での準決勝。記憶に残る激闘だった。
MF小野伸二、FW高原直泰ら当時の主力選手が欠場していた当時の日本は、開催国の中国サポーターにブーイングを浴びせられながらも決勝トーナメントに進出すると、準々決勝ではPK戦途中でのサイド変更とGK川口能活の神がかり的なセーブが印象深いヨルダン代表戦に勝利し、準決勝でバーレーンと対戦した。
しかし、バーレーン戦では開始6分に先制ゴールを許すと、40分にはMF遠藤保仁が不可解な判定で一発退場。日本はビハインドの状況で数的不利を負ってしまった。
数的不利の状況でもMF中田浩二とFW玉田圭司のゴールで逆転した日本だったが、その後2失点。2-3と1点ビハインドで試合終盤を迎えた。
なんとか決勝に進出した日本は、決勝で中国代表を撃破。見事に大会連覇を成し遂げていた。

「羨ましすぎる」「これはすげー」小野伸二氏の自宅で麻雀!? Mリーグファンでも知られる小野氏と俳優・小山剛志さん、プロ雀士の姿が話題!自宅にも注目「家が豪華すぎる」

初めてアイスホッケーNHLの試合を観た吉田麻也、同席していた選手にファンも注目「はんぱない」

「最終予選に向けて整えてきた」なでしこ石川璃音は準備万端、北朝鮮の強度にも臆せず「そこは絶対に負けたくない」
パリ・オリンピックアジア最終予選の北朝鮮女子代表戦へ向け、なでしこジャパンが始動。13日に国内合宿がスタートし、初日のトレーニングを終えてDF石川璃音(三菱重工浦和レッズレディース)がメディアの取材に応じた。 国内組を中心に、合宿は11名で開始。WEリーグのウインターブレイクや皇后杯などにより、選手によってオフ期間に差異のある状況で迎えた初日だが、20歳のセンターバックは「この最終予選に向けてコンディションを整えてきたので、体は動く状態」と、早くも臨戦態勢だ。 オフ期間には筋力トレーニングをメインに、スプリントの強化にも取り組んだとのこと。フィジカルを売りにする北朝鮮相手にも、怯む様子は微塵もない。 「(相手は)球際が強いとは思いますが、自分もそこは良さだと思っているので、絶対に負けたくない。自分から吹き飛ばしていけるように、頑張りたい」 「どちらかというと、自分はそういう相手の方がやりやすいので、すごく楽しみです。けど、まずは勝つということをメインに考えたい」 また、ビルドアップ力の向上を、個人として目標の1つに挙げている。とらわれ過ぎてうまくいかないこともあったようだが、所属チームでも代表活動でも、アドバイスをもらいながら成長中。 ちょうど合宿初日、池田太監督と宮本ともみコーチが相手2トップを模し、プレス回避をイメージしての最終ラインからボールを運び出すパストレーニングも行われた。立ち位置、パス出しのタイミング、1つ飛ばしの意識などを吸収しつつ、培ったものを試合でも発揮できるようにと石川は意気込みを語った。 「どれだけ自分にFWを引きつけてからパスを出せるかが、あの練習には込められていると思いました。自分はビルドアップの部分が足りないと思っているので、アドバイスを受けながら今日練習に臨みましたが、自分のところへ引きつけたら、周りも楽になると思うので、そういう部分も今回の最終予選で出せたらなと思います」 なでしこジャパンは2大会連続6度目のオリンピック出場を懸け、24日に最終予選の第1戦(開催地未定)を戦い、28日に国立競技場で運命の第2戦を迎える。 2024.02.14 21:40 Wed

日本代表DF中山雄太、試合中に前歯2本を失う悲劇

中国代表に痛手…ブラジルから帰化のFWフェルナンジーニョが家族の問題で来日せず
中国サッカー協会(CFA)は24日、中国代表に招集されていたFWフェルナンジーニョ(無所属)が来日しないことを発表した。 中国代表はすでに来日済みである中、ブラジルからの帰化選手はヨーロッパから来日する予定だった。 FWアラン、FWアロイージオとともにオランダのアムステルダムから24日に来日予定だったフェルナンジーニョだったが、CFAによるとアムステルダムで家族の健康上の問題を知ったとのこと。そのまま来日せず、ブラジルへと戻ることを申請したとのことだ。 CFAもフェルナンジーニョの帰国を許可。今回のカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア最終予選には参加しないこととなる。 フェルナンジーニョはブラジルのフラメンゴやポルトガルのエストリル・プライアなどでプレー。中国では重慶力帆、河北華夏、広州恒大(現:広州FC)でプレーしていたが、今年1月に財政面の問題で退団していた。 中国スーパーリーグでは119試合に出場し30ゴール39アシストを記録。これまで中国代表歴はなく、帰化後初の代表活動となる予定だった。 2022.01.25 09:30 Tue

なでしこジャパンの宮本ともみコーチが女子AFC Coach of the Yearにノミネート!
