ロサンゼルス・ギャラクシーのメキシコ代表FWハビエル・エルナンデスが25日に自身のSNSを更新。「久しぶりに再会できてうれしい。ピッチの中や外で共有したすべての思い出に感謝したい。あなたの成功を祈っています」と元チームメイトとの2ショットを投稿。その人物とは、元イングランド代表FWのウェイン・ルーニー氏だった。

チチャリートことハビエル・エルナンデスは、2010年夏にユナイテッドへと完全移籍。主力だったルーニーともに二度のプレミアリーグ優勝にも貢献。その後はレアル・マドリーへのレンタル移籍やレバークーゼン、セビージャなどを経て、2020年からMLSの看板選手として活躍している。

一方のルーニー氏は、2017年までユナイテッドでプレーした後、古巣のエバートンを経て2018年から2年間MLSのDCユナイテッドでプレー。2022年夏からは同クラブの監督を務めている。

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

フレッチャー氏の双子の息子がユナイテッドとプロ契約シティのアカデミーから昨夏加入
