ヴィッセル神戸のセルジ・サンペールが意外な特技を披露した。DFトーマス・フェルマーレンやFWドウグラスらがチームを去り、新たに日本代表経験を持つDF槙野智章やMF扇原貴宏が加入した神戸。今季はAFCアジアチャンピオンズリーグ(ACL)も控えており、タイトル獲得に意欲を示している。

24日からは和歌山県でキャンプを行っている神戸だが、サンペールの新たな特技が発覚した模様。公式ツイッターは「卓球が異常に強いサンペール選手です」と紹介している。
トレーニングの合間にレクリエーションの一環で行われたであろう卓球。サンペールはDF菊池流帆の挑戦を受けた。

結果はサンペールの圧勝だった。隅をつくフォアハンドに、何故か両手持ちでの力強いバックハンド。リターンは低い弾道でネットの上部ギリギリを超えるものばかり。完勝を収めたサンペールは「Champion」と誇らしげだ。
敗れた菊地は「強すぎてセルジこれオリンピック出れるぞ」と称えれば、サンペールは「明日無料で個人レッスンしてあげるよ」と上機嫌で返信。ファンからも「つえええ!」、「上手すぎます」、「強すぎて笑ってしまった」、「テニスの打ち方やけど、フォーム自体が凄くキレイ」などの声が寄せられている。

サンペールの兄、ジョルディ・サンペールはテニスプレーヤーとして活躍しており、打ち方がテニス風なのはその影響もあるだろうか。ただ、それでもうまいのレベルが1つ違うサンペールには、ファンもチームメイトも脱帽するしかなかった。

ボージャン合流でスペイン人が3人揃った神戸、通訳の隣には4人目のスペイン人!? その理由は「俺がダビドだからだ。」

来日5年‥家族も2人増えたイニエスタの妻が改めて心境を綴る「この冒険を一緒に生き続けることは光栄です!」

「スペインより日本の方が長い」来日5年のイニエスタが8歳長男の誕生日を祝福!「お父さんにそっくり」
