ブンデスリーガ第10節、ボーフムvsレバークーゼンが9日に行われ、1-1で引き分けた。ボーフムのMF三好康児は69分から出場している。前節フランクフルト戦を7失点大敗した最下位ボーフム(勝ち点1)は、ヘッキング監督が就任した中、三好がベンチスタートとなった。

一方、前節シュツットガルト戦をゴールレスドローで終えた4位レバークーゼン(勝ち点16)は、4日前のチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)リバプール戦では4失点完敗となった。そのリバプール戦のスタメンから3選手を変更。ボニフェイス、アレイシ・ガルシア、パラシオスに代えてシック、アンドリッヒ、ホフマンを起用した。
5バックで構えるボーフムに対し、立ち上がりからレバークーゼンが押し込む展開とすると18分に先制する。ヴィルツのスルーパスに抜け出したシックがボックス左に侵入、シュートを決めきった。

さらに30分、ボックス右に侵入したフリンポンがGK強襲のシュートを放ったレバークーゼンが主導権を握ったまま前半を終えた。
迎えた後半、試合をコントロールしていたレバークーゼンだったが、徐々にボーフムが反撃。69分には三好が投入された中、終盤の89分に追いつく。

ボックス右からデ・ウィトにクサビのパスを入れた三好がゴールエリア右に侵入。ルーズボールを右足で流し込んだ。このまま1-1で終了。ボーフムが勝ち点1をもぎ取っている。
