元イングランド代表FWピーター・クラウチ氏によるファンに対する投稿が、インターネット上を賑わせている。

17日に行われたプレミアリーグ第37節、サウサンプトンvsリバプールの一戦は、南野拓実のゴールなどで2-1とリバプールが勝利。逆転優勝へ望みを繋いだ。

その試合で中継映像に映り込んだものがファンの目にとまったようだ。試合終了後の様子を報じるテレビカメラには、何か長いものが黒いシートで覆われて運び出されている様が映されている。

これを見たあるファンは、201cmの長身を誇り、サウサンプトンとリバプールの両クラブでもプレー経験のあるクラウチ氏を思い浮かべたようだ。「一瞬ピーター・クラウチが死んだのかと思った」とつぶやいた。

投稿は瞬く間に拡散されると、なんとクラウチ氏本人からもリプライが寄せられることに。「心配してくれてありがとう、僕は元気だよ」と、ファンの冗談にうまく乗っかった。

▽世界各国のフットボールシーンにおいて、熱狂的なサポーターを抱えることで知られるクラブがいくつかある。日本を代表する熱狂的なサポーターと言えば、浦和レッズサポーターだが、『Fox Sports』が選ぶ『世界の熱狂的なサポーター5選』に見事選ばれた。 ▽浦和が選ばれた『世界の熱狂的なサポーター5選』には、リーベル・プレート(アルゼンチン)、ガラタサライ(トルコ)、リバプール(イングランド)、バルセロナ(スペイン)が入っており、浦和サポーターは世界でも“熱狂的”なファンで知られるクラブと肩を並べることとなった。 ▽浦和については「Jリーグの20シーズン中、14シーズンで最高の平均入場者数を誇り、サポーターが作る最高のコレオグラフィーがある」と紹介。「次東京に行く際は、埼玉スタジアムでの試合を観て欲しい」と、観戦を勧めている。以下、4クラブのサポーターの特徴を紹介。 ◆リーベル・プレート(アルゼンチン) ▽リーベル・プレートは、アルゼンチンで最もサポーターが多いクラブの1つで、ボカ・ジュニアーズとの激しいライバル関係は有名だ。ロス・ミジョナリオス(億万長者)の愛称でも知られ、ボカ・ジュニアーズとのダービーは、死人が出るほどの激しい試合になるとも言われている。 ◆ガラタサライ(トルコ) ▽ガラタサライは、ファンの大声援が地響きを起こすとも称されるほど。悪名高い「Wellcome to Hell(地獄へようこそ)」というバナーは広く知られている。1993年のマンチェスター・ユナイテッド戦、2001年のパリ・サンジェルマン戦ではサポーターが衝突し、まさに“地獄”となってしまった。 ◆リバプール(イングランド) ▽サポーターを「12人目の男」と考えるリバプール。「You'll Never Walk Alone」の大合唱は有名であり、スタジアムが素晴らしい雰囲気で包まれる。2005年のチャンピオンズリーグ決勝のミラン戦では、ビハインドで迎える後半にサポーターの大声援が選手の背中を後押しし、逆転での優勝に繋がったとも。 ◆バルセロナ(スペイン) ▽かつては「ソシオ」がチームを支えるほど、サポーターとの関係が重要視されているバルセロナ。近年、胸スポンサーを入れるようになったが、それまではサポーターの会員費と入場料収入でクラブは運営されていた。かつて、レアル・マドリーへ禁断の移籍をしたルイス・フィーゴが凱旋した時には、豚の頭が投げ込まれるほど熱狂的だ。 2017.10.12 22:45 Thu
